Apples, Apples, Apples

I would like to let you know Scholastic Teachers offers a lesson plan called Apples, Apples, Apples. I plan on using  with my niece and nephew this year. To be prepared I also purchased the children’s book Apples, Apples, Apples written by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace they used to complete the lessons with.

GRADE 1-2, PREK-K GENRE FICTION

On a day perfect for apple picking, the bunny family heads to Long Hill Orchard. Mr. Miller takes them to the trees on his wobbly farm wagon and tells them all about fall’s favorite fruit, like what the uses of different apples are, how to pick them, and how to make applesauce. The bunnies even say apple sayings and sing apple songs!

If you’re a Pinterest nut like I am you should check out Shannon Zamora Pinterest Board dedicated to        Apple Lesson Plans our children can do in school this year.

Then you should check out TeachingHeart.net as you will find quite a few Apple resources on this website for your children to do this week.

Bright Hub Education offers us a Week Long Kindergarten Unit on an  Apple Theme

I hope you enjoy these apple resources. I would like to invite you to check out other pages I have for Apples this week including

Apple Themed Fine Motor & Toddler Activities,

Apple Themed Art & Craft Activities for Kid,

Homeschool Resource Music Songs About Apples.

Once you finish your lesson plans, let’s make a healthy snack featuring Apples. The recipe will teach us how to prepare Simple Homemade Applesauce. This recipe comes from Thaleia Maher from            Something 2 Offer If you take the time to check out her recipes please leave her a comment and let Thaleia know what you think about her Applesauce.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
