Happy Father’s Day

Growing up we always dream of our Wedding and wish once we get married that the person we chose will be as kind as our “Father is. With David, I must say I picked the right man not only for me but also for Charlie. I have never seen a man love his son more than David does. No, matter how tired he is David will drop everything to see what Charlie wants. They run a Lawn Mower business together. As well as help me with the blogs I own and maintain. All I can say to you God had Blessed me when I was 16 and brought David into my life.

Then at 18, we ended up going our separate ways as we were just too young and it wasn’t the right time for us. Although I felt like I would die once David walked out the door. God knew it wasn’t the right time for us to be together. When Suzzane was two God brought David back into my life and once again it wasn’t the right time. So David left again and by now you might say why didn’t you give up and I can tell you its hard when someone owns your heart and that is what David did for me.

Finally, God knew it was the right time for David and me because when Suzzane was 16 and killed I was planning her Funeral. A friend of mine Richard called me to ask if it would be okay for David to come pay his respects. Being a part of Suzzane’s life I couldn’t tell David no. So he arrived and a year after Suzzane was killed my ex-walked out on me and David and I have been together ever since.

I am so Blessed God kept bringing David back to me because each time he did I could tell he was the right person for me.  I knew if we were to have children he would make a wonderful Dad. I was right as David is the best dad ever and the most hardworking man I have ever meet other than my own father. David reminds me of my dad in so many ways. So today I wanted to share a song with you from our Wedding  The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.
