Winnie the Pooh (Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh (Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood, 18 Volumes was a set of children’s storybooks David bought for Charlie when he was a baby. We kept these books in Charlie’s nursery. I would read them to Charlie before bedtime.

Once we moved my set of Winnie the Pooh (Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood ended up packed away. Then the other day when I was cleaning my office, I found the books and we’ve decided to use these books when homeschooling Charlie.

As I like how Winnie the Pooh (Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood teaches us to work as a team. As I have been talking to Charlie about that. Because a lot of time when he is outside, I hear him bossing his friends around and then when they want Charlie to do something he refuses. Or he is busy and cannot stop playing his Video Game. I think Winnie the Pooh (Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood will help him see how he is treating his friends is wrong.

And we can Winnie the Pooh ) Lessons from the Hundred Acre Wood  it for art as he can draw pictures that show both the wrong and right way to do things. Plus he can pay it forward and share the book with someone that isn’t being a team player. And tell them how they can change there ways and work together as a team to be better friends and workers.

I also enjoyed the illustrations in this book. And the colors of the animals is fun to look at. I just wish I had these books when Suzzane was little as she would have loved them as she loved anything that had to do with Tigger. And if truth be told I am a huge Eeyore fan and if I didn’t want Charlie to hand these books down to his children I might cut them apart to hang on our walls.

If I had thought of it when Charlie was a baby, I could have framed them in his nursery and made his theme in his nursery bedroom Children’s Storybooks and use not only Winnie the Pooh but other children’s storybooks as well. Which would have been cute and different but hopefully instill a love of reading into Charlie. Since nothing else has. HMM… I could even do that to my office. But  I know Charlie would tell me he it is too old for me to do and that it isn’t approriate. But I could use classics I like to read like Gone With The Wind.

If you’re homeschooling like Charlie and I hope you take the time to check out  Winnie the Pooh (Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood.) And Please stop back by and let me know what you used it for and which classes you used it in. And let me see if we did the same things or different things.
