Educational Apps for 6 through 11 years old

During Christmas David won a Tablet and blessed it to me as part of my Christmas present. Now, if truth be none I wasn’t sure I would like a tablet or if I would even use the tablet as I had bought myself a tablet a couple years ago which I haven’t ever used. Although the one David gave me I have fallen in love with my tablet and I use it a lot.

Only it is hard to be able to use my tablet because as soon as I look for it Charlie is on it. Or comes in and wants to take over what I am doing on the tablet. So I am thinking I will pay it forward and let Charlie have my tablet. Then I will go out and purchase one that is just mine for work.

Since I am going to give Charlie my tablet I wanted to make sure Charlie has all the learning applications  he can do so he isn’t always just playing games and not learning anything. So today I researched on Amazon and found the following apps for Charlie. So I thought you might like checking them out as well.

Eggy Words

Eggy Words 250HD is an application designed to help children recognize and learn sight words. Sight words are words that readers should know automatically “at sight,” such as he, the, was and where. This app covers the first 250HD sight words using a fun and motivating game to keep kids learning.

Endless Reader

Endless Readers children will have a blast learning sight words and their context and usage with the adorable Endless monsters. Each word features an interactive word puzzle with letters that come alive, and then a sentence puzzle with words that become what they describe. See the word “dog” as a barking dog, and the word “up” reach for the sky!
