It’s been a long time since I posted a Free for the Weekend & Fun I thought I would get back on the ball and share something you can do in Dallas/ Fort Worth this weekend for free.

With David working today and tomorrow Charlie and I might not be able to do anything fun, but we thought you might come and share your plans with us.

Story time in Celebration of Pop-Cultured with Barnes & Noble Featuring Good Morning, Superman!, Be A Star, Wonder Woman! and Bedtime for Batman

Saturday, July 29, 2017, 11:00 AM Superheroes have to get up in the morning, go to school and have a bedtime, just like you! Join us as we read about turning everyday situations into amazing super adventures! Kids, come dressed as your favorite superhero, villain or character to show your fandom! Activities to follow.

Join our hands-on workshop, and you and your child can build a wooden Penske truck to roll some fun into August. Once the project is complete, your child can personalize their truck with stickers and paint.

All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Saturday, January 29th from 11 AM – 3 PM and a few locations offer crafts on Sunday.

Free National Parks Pass for 4th Graders

If you have a child in 4th grade this year, your family can get a free National Parks Annual Pass to give you free entry into national parks, national forests, national wildlife refuges, and more!

Teachers of 4th graders can also get passes to plan free National Park field trips.

Flying Lessons

Young Eagles – kids ages 8 to 17 experience aviation and get free rides in private aircraft flown by experienced pilots. Get more information here.

Jazzercise is currently offering FREE dance fitness classes to girls ages 16-21 at participating locations. No strings attached!

Lego Stores Free Model Build

Free LEGO Model Build Events are usually held monthly in stores. Kids ages 6 to 14 can build a model and take it home. You must use an email address saved in your LEGO VIP Membership account. Membership and registration are free. Get more information here: shop.LEGO.com/VIP.

Major League Baseball Clinics

Through the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, kids can attend a free baseball clinic in many locations across the country.

SKI Passport for 5th Graders

Go to www.5thgradeskipassport.com to get a free pass in Idaho or the Pacific Northwest. For other areas, search for your state with the words “5th-grade ski pass + your state”, or the name of your local ski resort.

Target – Free Community Events events ranging from free museum admission, free theater tickets, family activities and tours at some of our countries most famous venues. Times and locations vary by city. Find free family activities sponsored by Target in your area right here.
