  1. We always have to make divinity. My Mother used to make the very best, but now we all do it. It sometiimes is a sticky gooey mess but it sure is good.

    1. I love Mexican wedding cookies, and I never meet anyone else who makes them! I make them most holidays, but I always make pumpkin pie.

  2. Elizabeth Wisniewski

I have to make “Ethel’s Sugar cookies” from the better homes and gardens cookie book. My Mom made them when I was little and I like to do it with my kids too.

  3. My favorite thing for make for the holidays has to be my pumkin cheesecake! I make a bunch to give to my neighbors & friends every year. Me & the kiddos will make caramels to hand out also! 🙂 Merry Christmas!

  4. I always make a banoffee pie! It’s not necessarily festive but it’s delicious and cozy and very simple to make – something I like when a lot of other cooking is also taking place.

  5. I have to make Pecan Pie every year. It’s definitely my specialty dish and everyone is always asking me to make it for them for Christmas for their dinners.

  6. We always make ginger snap cookies and pumpkin dip! It is the best and is the signal that all the holiday festivities are about to start!

  7. I make corn pudding every year. It’s so good and easy to make, I don’t know why I only make it once a year. It keeps it special I guess.

  8. It’s not really a holiday thing but every winter I spend a day making tons of chicken pot pies. My favorite winter comfort food. 🙂

  9. Charles-Linda Bradshaw

We have to make fudge. It is one of those things we look forward to when calories don’t matter.

  10. Nicole Carter (Weasley)

Every Thanksgiving I have to make my Pumpkin Pie! According to my family it’s the best!

  11. Pecan Pie…. it just doesn’t feel like Christmas without having a slice. Plus it’s super easy! =)

  12. Mary Beth Elderton

Sweet Potato Pie! I am sort of “the keeper” of my grandmother’s recipe and make several pies every year—enough so that everyone gets to take home a whole pie. Now that I am the grandmother, I will pass the recipe along soon 🙂

  13. I have to make Chex Mix every year or my family will never speak to me again. I give it out for Christmas and they fight over which bag is bigger.

  14. Super soft sour cream sugar cookies from an old family recipe 🙂 If nothing else, those get made.

  15. I have to make this Choco-Pumpkin cake that my mom made when I was a kid and I started making in my 20’s (I’m in my 50’s now).

  16. I make sugar cookie flavored cupcakes, homade almond roca, and chocolate dipped candy canes every year 🙂

  17. Every holiday I have to make Snickerdoodle cookies! This is not only a family favorite, but a recipe my great aunt has passed to us as a Christmas tradition!
