Homeschool Blogger Shoutout Let’s Get Real

Good morning, Its hard to believe today was Charlie’s first day of 4th Grade. I walked with Charlie to school this morning and we went into Charlies classroom and I made sure he was all settled and then I walked out of the school to walk home. Without even realizing it I found I was crying. Now, I had been preparing myself for Charlie to begin school for 2 weeks and I thought I had come to terms with it. Only I didn’t want to leave him as I was afraid of something happening to Charlie.

I came home and knew I had lots and lots of housework as well as things to do on the blog. Although I couldn’t make myself get off the couch to do anything. So I crawled onto the couch with Sandy and the book I was reading and I hide behind my book for a while. Then I looked around my house and told myself it wasn’t fair for Charlie and David to come home and have to help me clean house and make dinner

So I climbed off the couch grabbed a shower and came to my desk to work so I could get everything done by 1 so I would have time to make dinner and pick up the house. As David is working late tonight and I want to spend time with Charlie finding out about his day. So before time gets away from me.

I would like to invite you to meet this weeks Homeschool Blogger Shoutout. I am bringing you Lets Get Real which is written by Betty Daley. This was the first time I had visited Betty’s blog Lets Get Real and I am so glad I did as I found out she shares stories on Homeschooling, Marriage and also Parenting tips. So I would like to ask if you would take the time to stop by Betty’s blog Lets Get Real and say hello.

On Betty’s site I found a post called Let’s Talk (Free Printables) using the printable will allow us to build conversation with our children. So, I knew I would want to print this freebie out as communication is very important because one day one of us might not be here and I would like for Charlie to have lots of memories about me and my family. Just as I have of Suzzane as she isn’t here any longer. If you feel this way as well Please check out the free printable here and let me know what you thought of it.

I would like to let you know Let’s Talk free printable is made in both pink and blue so it would work for either girls or boys and there is even a freebie called Let’s Talk for us to share with our spouses and since there are times I don’t think I know enough about David I can’t wait to print out  copy of Let’s Talk to share with all three of us so we can get to know each other better and begin building our communication habits.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
