Nasher Sculpture Center Target First Saturdays

I remember in 2nd grade when Charlie was in Public School all of his friends were coming home telling Charlie where their classes were going on Field Trips.

We asked Charlie’s teacher where his class would be going as Charlie was in third grade. For his class Field Trip when Charlie’s teacher let me know they wouldn’t be taking a Field Trip as they had applied to all the places to late.

Finally, the teacher let the class know there wouldn’t be a Field Trip at all. When we ended up with a classroom of sad and unhappy children. The parents were just as upset as the children were.

For me personally, I didn’t think that was right or fair. After school, one day David and I took a group of children to the Fort Worth Zoo to make up for them not having a Field Trip. Which wasn’t fair either as half the class were left out.

When we decided to Homeschool Charlie one of the things Charlie asked me was if we could go on Field Trips. Then Charlie asked if we could then would he be able to help plan where we would go.

I let Charlie know we would be taking Field Trips and David and Charlie could help me choose places to visit like Nasher Sculpture Center Target First Saturdays. I visited their website and found quite a few things I would like to check out.

Nasher Sculpture Center is one place I want to discuss with Charlie and David. Seeing if they would like to visit Nasher Sculpture Center this Summer for a Field Trip. If we are lucky and David ends up off on a Saturday I would like to take Charlie when they are hosting Target First Saturdays.

If David can’t get off on a Saturday I am I am thinking about us visiting Nasher Sculpture Center on either a Wednesday or Thursday. Because there is so much to do visiting Nasher Sculpture Center would make an excellent outing. Allowing us to be outside walking which ties in with our challenge Get Up & Move!!

I would like to let you know they do charge a fee so make sure you check the website to see how much and plan accordingly. If you want to have lunch, there is a Cafe created by Wolfgang Puck. I know I would like to check the cafe out.

I love Wolfgang Puck and think having lunch in his restaurant would be fun. I am not sure what Charlie or David would think about the restaurant though and because of this I think we will pack a Picnic lunch and we can sit outside.

Now Guess What I found on Nasher Sculpture Center website…… Drum roll I found another reading challenge and this is the Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge. Also, take the time to check out there Kids Club.
