Carla and Carol Duke

Before I begin planning any events, I always place the information about the event and what I need in Gods hands. I know if I fully rely on God to bring the Vendors I need the event will be a huge success. No photo description available.

Which is how I like to think of the last event I put together for the American Legion Post # 655. I meet Carla and Carol Duke with Duke’s Kettle Corn and there Craft business.

I took the time to walk around the event  to thank the Vendors for attending the event. I noticed a photo album at Carol and Carla Dukes Kettle Corn Booth.

I asked what the album was then I asked Carla if I could look through the photo album. I wanted to see the crafts they make for there other business Rustic to Refined.

I saw all the wonderful and unique crafts made from Horseshoes which made me think immediately of  the American Legion Post #655 1st Annual Horseshoe Tournament.

I knew the decorations made from Horseshoes created by Carla and Carl from Rustic to Refined  would be a perfect items to sell during the Horseshoe Tournament at the American Legion.

Off I went to find David and show him all the Crafts Rustic to Refined created as well as let David  know they do special orders. There was a picture of the United States Flag I would love to get for our front room although David said we could hang the Flag over our dinning room table.

David continued to look through the photo album David told he wanted the cross on the bottom of the page. I let David know I would like the Cross on the top of the page.

David said I could order both pieces from Rustic to Refined. I was such a happy camper. I also went ahead and ordered the Love sign which I wanted for my office to put Charlie and Suzzane’s pictures around.

If you haven’t had a chance to meet Carol and Carla Duke you can find them on Facebook. As you reach out to them, let them know which one of the decorations you like the best.

In the meantime let me share something funny with you which I didn’t notice about my cross until I brought it home. David was getting the cross ready to hang on the wall and I noticed it was a Angel. Knowing this means the Cross means more to me than it originally did.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
