I Can Read! My First Reader

Charlie is up and ready to read his books for school this morning. We would  like to ask you to join us for library reading time? You can read books you have in your home.

Or visit your library and check out books like we did this week. Charlie and I are using I Can Read! My First Reader books we find at not only the Library but Walmart.

Elle Emme Stop! Drop! & Read!

Somehow we ended up with quite a few of the I Can Read! My First Reader Series which may be to easy for your students but I would like to recommend you pick out what you feel comfortable with your children reading.

Charlie struggles with learning, so this series is perfect for him and also for David who can’t read or write. Through this series Charlie can work on helping his dad read the books in the I Can Read! series.

The four books were reading are Biscuit Wins A Prize, Biscuit’s Big FriendBiscuit Takes A Walk and                           Biscuit Goes to School. I didn’t pick a theme of what kinds of books to chose this week we just picked out books Charlie thought sounded exciting or had a cover we both liked. Or the storyline featured dogs.

Biscuit Wins a Prize

It’s the day of the pet show, and Biscuit has to look his best. All his old friends are at the show, and Biscuit sees so many new friends that he can’t sit still–even for the judge! The lovable yellow puppy’s friendliness helps him win a big prize and the hearts of his readers!

Biscuits Big Friend

Sam is Biscuit’s newest friend. Biscuit wants to do everything that Sam does. But it sure is hard for a little puppy to keep up with such a big dog!

Biscuit Takes A Walk

Biscuit is walking to Grandpa’s house, and he’s having such a good time that he doesn’t want the walk to end. But the little puppy knows that the only thing better than a walk to Grandpa’s house is a visit with Grandpa himself!

The youngest of readers are sure to enjoy strolling with Biscuit through this charming, easy-to-read adventure.

Biscuit Goes To School

Just like his young fans, Biscuit can’t wait to go to school! Even though no dogs are allowed, he is determined to see and do everything that takes place at school. But what will happen when the teacher discovers a puppy in his classroom?

Charlie and I took this I Can Readathon Pledge, and we would like to invite you to join us in I Can Readathon. We would like to ask you to invite your friends and family along on this adventure.

You can add our challenge to any other challenges your doing this Summer. Like our reading challenge Stop! Drop! & Read and Exercise You Mind through the Hurst Library.
