Lets Get Moving This Summer

I know Charlie is looking forward to having time off from school. As I am as well as it will be nice to sleep in and not have to hurry to get ready in the mornings to get Charlie to school.

Although I don’t want Charlie to think Summer is a all time access pass to just sit in his room and play on his Game Station. So I have been looking for fun tings we can do this Summer that doesn’t break the bank.

So today I would like to share a website with you that will help get the kids up and moving. So even if we aren’t able to go do something Charlie and I will still be able to have fun and move around. Plus, this new website will help me reach the amount of steps I need to reach each week.

Age Range: 5-10 (Grades K-5, with parental supervision)
Get up, dance, and learn with this fun website intended to get the kids moving. You must create a free account to access the more than “250 research-based movement activities”.
Once you have signed up, log in and your child creates their online “Champ” that they can personalize further by earning rewards for “moving along with GoNoodle.”
Kids select from categories or “Channels” that provide videos of not only fun exercises and dance activities, but also include songs that can help with math, science, language arts, classical music and more. Channels include:
  • Blazer Fresh
  • MooseTube
  • Amp Your Champ
  • Hot Ticket
  • Indoor Recess
  • Limited Time
  • Awesome Sauce
  • Kidz Bop
  • Koo Koo Kanga Roo
  • Fresh Start Fitness
  • The Champ
  • Harmonic
  • Flow
  • Zumba Kids
  • Go with the Pro
  • Maximo
  • Brainercise with Mr. Catman
  • Game On!
  • Think About it
  • Empower Tools

And more. Once you have verified your student’s account, you can check their online time and browse through all of the extras available such as tips, articles, and printables. This kid-friendly website is colorful, fun, and easy to navigate. But, beware when checking out the different videos. You may just find yourself getting up and moving too.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
