A love hate relationship with my bike

Last week I decided I would get Bertha my bike out  and ride her to  the park. As I started off to the park I thought before I made it there  was going to die. As just pedaling was killing me. But I didn’t give up and I kept going although Charlie had to ride my bike back home and I rode with David in the car.

I did push forward and I was able to ride Bertha  the way to the park. Then Once I got to the park  I sat down and rested. While Charlie played a pick up game of Soccer. After sitting and resting I was able to make it around the park one time even though I had to stop a couple times.

Which is sad as  last year I had gotten to where I could ride around the park 2 to 4 times  once without stopping. Along with walking a full mile which is how I lost my weight.

So its time to get back out each and every day and exercise as I have gotten  bigger than I have ever been. Which means its  time to stop making excuses and get up and either walk, ride my bike or use my treadmill.

Because if I don’t take care of myself I may not be here to watch Charlie grow up. So I Know I need  to get my Blood Pressure under control as it has been high and to do this I have to lose this weight.

So it might kill me but before the Summer is over I am going to be walking at least 2 miles a day or riding my bike a full mile. Along with walking in the pool on the days I can get to the pool.

So even if it is too hot to go outside I am going to get my treadmill set up in the living room and I am going to use it each and everyday. By the end of Summer with Gods help I am going to lose at least 20 pounds.

And before you ask is that all I need to lose and the answer is no, I need to lose at least 70 pounds but if I can get the first 20 off before Charlie returns to school I know the rest will come off in its own time.

So today I would like to ask you if you have any tips on helping me stay on task and getting my exercise done each day? As well as any food tips you have for me? As I know I do not eat the right foods, or the right amount of foods or even at the right time of day.

So as you can see I have lots of things to change and as I am changing I am going to work on Charlie changing as well before school starts back. So Please pray we are able to get these things done and to become healthier.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
