As A Parent We Have To Make Hard Choices

As a parent we have to make hard choices sometimes which is what happened last Friday. David was supposed to pick Charlie up from school and talk to Charlies teachers but God intervened and David didn’t get off on time.

So off I went to pick Charlie up from school and I had a lot of qualms and concerns when I picked Charlie up. Since Mrs. Kayla wasn’t busy I asked to speak to her for a few minutes.

Charlie was supposed to have made up a test in math last week but instead of retaking the test he went into the Gym as he said Mrs. Kayla wasn’t there when he looked for her.

So, I asked Mrs. Kayla if she was inside the classroom and she said she was. So then I asked her what  Charlie had told Mrs. Kayla about not taking the test and she said Charlie said he had forgotten to go back and see if she was inside the room so he could take the test.

Now this was a major test for math and neither I nor Mrs. Kayla are  sure it can be made up now or not so Mrs. Kayla going to talk to the Principal and see what he wants her to do. So Please Pray he allows Charlie to retake this test.

As Mrs. Kayla  and I spoke on Friday I was able to learn about some other issues she has been having with Charlie such as disrespecting not only her but other  people inside her classroom. Now this is the things Charlie has  been doing to David and I as well.

Before we quit chatting  I was also able to bring up the other kids calling Charlie names and letting Mrs. Kayla know he doesn’t want to come to school because of it. So Mrs. Kayla is going to speak to the Principal about all of my concerns as well as hers.

So today Charlie may be called into the Principals office so everything can be addressed including the test he didn’t take. So as we walked to school  Charlie wanted me to walk him to school and check with the Principal to see if he was supposed to go into the office or onto to his class.

So we caught the Principal outside and he didn’t know anything as Mrs. Kayla hasn’t had a chance to talk to him so I explained to Mr. Williams some of our concerns so he let Charlie know he would check into it this morning.

Only now I feel like the worst mom ever as when I left Charlie at school he was so scared and crying and just over whelmed. I wanted to pick Charlie up and bring him back home with me. But I knew he needed to stay and face what ever happened.

I sit her this morning in my home and think about things I feel like the worst mom ever. I just want to run back up to the school and grab Charlie and resume homeschooling  him but I know that isn’t the answer to the problems.

So Please pray that I did the right thing for Charlie and that we are able to nip these problems in the bud and for Charlie to have a wonderful day and for the kids to stop being mean to him. As well as for Charlie to be able to redo his math test and to pass it.

I ask all of these things in Jesus name and Please Pray for not only Charlie but David and I as well as Charlies teachers as we need to help him . For  Charlie to open up and let the Principal and Counselor know what is bothering him. As Charlie has  even said he wants to ask them to find him a new home.

Which breaks my heart but if Charlie isn’t happy with David and I as his parents then they do need to find someone he would be happy with as I don’t want him to hurt himself or to live in a place he isn’t happy with.
