Salvation Army at Parks Mall in Arlington, Texas

I’m  proud of  Charlie this year because he decided to donate a portion of his Birthday and Christmas Presents to a child that wouldn’t be receiving Christmas Gifts this year.

We almost missed the deadline to drop the Gifts off because this was the last day to drop gifts at Salvation Army at Parks Mall in Arlington, Texas. Through the Lords help we did make it.

Younger shoppers make Angel Tree program even more special

Charlie and I went and picked up the last few gifts we wanted to get our Angels and the nice part was David became excited and wanted to help us make sure our Angles had everything they needed. Which included picking a gift up for their parents. Not knowing if they had a mom or dad or both parents we purchased generic Gifts either parent could use.

Then we headed out to the Parks Mall where we needed to label the gifts and place them inside the bags. As Charlie, David and I were working a gentleman walked up and asked if we would be willing to talk to him about the Angel Tree and why we were donating.

I quickly let the gentleman know this wasn’t my story to tell but Charlie’s so he spoke to Charlie and yesterday, Charlie’s story ran in the Arlington Voice.

Make sure you sign up for the Arlington Voice as it is a online paper only and follow the Author who wrote the story on Charlie. Then if you have  a story to tell check out the link where you can submit stories to the paper.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
