“COUNTDOWN TO NOON” NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY

Welcome, to “COUNTDOWN TO NOON” NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY” we could Ring in the New Year with a daytime science-themed celebration in Frisco. I had planned on attending with my family although, once again God had different plans for us. David’s boss couldn’t let David off for us to participate in the event.

I didn’t want to tell Charlie we wouldn’t be able to attend. I decided to go out on a limb reach out to Sci-Tech Discovery about coming out on Thursday. As this is David’s day off and we wouldn’t have a problem getting to there location. I am so glad I reached out as they allowed us to come Thursday.

We didn’t have to hurry through the facility so David could go to work and we did we didn’t have to wait for Charlie to get out of school as he was on Winter Break? We left Haltom City and headed towards Frisco. I kept waiting to hear we there yet, but I didn’t all I heard from Charlie was hurry up let’s get there soon. I want to see what all they have for me to do.

Before we headed out I asked Charlie if he wanted to bring a friend and he said no, that he wanted it to be just us. I asked Charlie why and he said he wanted to spend time playing with his dad. To me, this was the best part of the trip as Charlie usually doesn’t want to spend time with his dad. Once we arrived, Charlie got out of the car, and the first thing he said was we had been here before as we saw Charlie Brown here. Charlie was right about that and asked if we could come back out and see a play. Which I hope to do as all of us enjoyed the one we saw.

We walked in, we saw the windows and all of us thought they were so cute. Charlie couldn’t wait to see what was behind them. Charlie and I walked up to the information booth. We let the clerk know we needed to pick up our tickets. The clerk brought us into the Gift Shop where they took our names and handed us our badges. I asked if we left could we come back inside and they assured us we could.

Charlie and I went inside, and he found the Basketball Goals and wanted to play right away. I finally convinced Charlie to walk through with me to see what all there was to do before we stopped to play. So we headed to the very back where we found some tables with Legos and Charlie finished building a building. While he did this, I ventured on and ended up in the section where the bubbles were. Before you ask me if I played with them, I will tell you I did and could have stayed there all day. But Charlie had other plans for us.

We went into the main room, and I placed food into some displays so I could see how many calories I would need to burn to lose weight. Let me tell you losing the weight I need to lose is going to be much harder than I ever thought.  I was done Charlie asked me if I would throw a ball with him to see who threw the fastest and I must tell you I couldn’t even hit the target. Although it was fun trying and both Charlie and David loved playing this game.

Once we were done Charlie, and I decided to go and try out the wheelchairs to see how fast we could make them go. Once again I lost because I couldn’t make them go as quickly as Charlie due to my shoulder being messed up. But it was a lot of fun playing with Charlie. Once we finished, Charlie wanted to start over and play everything again. I was so amazed he didn’t get bored and want to leave.

I love how he was able to stay in focus with the games and even read the directions if we were still Homeschooling Charlie I would make it a point to visit here at least once a week. I loved seeing we can host Charlie’s Birthday here as did David and Charlie. If Charlie could have, we would have stayed until it closed and came back the next day.

Since being back home, Charlie has been asking when we can return.
