Sharon Meeks and her daughter are raising money for St Judes

The other night when my good friend Linda Sams was hosting her Pink Zebra Party I meet a lady named Sharon Meeks. Sharon and I chatted after the party and she shared with me that her daughter is hosting a Fundraiser for St Judes which ends in 3 days.

Sharon Meeks daughter is wanting to raise $1,000. So I would like to let you know last night they just needed $100 more to reach her goal. Today I would like to ask you all to please help her out by donating a couple dollars to St. Judes.

If you can’t donate to this cause Please share this event for Sharon Meeks and her daughter as the more people who see this event  the more chance they have to reach there goal which well help St. Judes.

This is the information for Sharon Meeks and her daughters fundraising event.

Sharon Meeks daughter Rebecca tries so hard to raise funds for St. Judes  because of her little brother Christopher. Christopher  had a stroke at birth was born with Ataxic CP. Christopher has  heart issues is profoundly deaf and also has  several other issues . Recently at 4 yrs old they  were told Christopher is now ADHD on top of other issues he has.

Sharon Meeks and her family have struggled with hospital bills so Rebecca  wants to help others so they don’t go thru what her parents and Christopher have gone through.

I invite you to check out Sharon Meeks store as she is donating all the sales from it as well.

Event: Troup Elementary School

My name is Rebecca and I am participating in my school’s St. Jude Math-A-Thon to support St. Jude’s lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. I need your support to help me reach my fundraising goal for the kids of St. Jude.

How your donation helps:

Last year you wonderful folks helped my brother(Bubba) and I raise over $1000 for St Jude. I know that with your help we can reach or exceed that goal again this year.

Thanks to donors like you, no family ever pays St. Jude for anything, including lodging, food and travel. St. Jude will continue to improve treatment of childhood cancer and other deadly diseases through it’s groundbreaking research. For every child treated at St. Jude, thousands more have been saved worldwide through St. Jude discoveries.

Mission The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

Our vision is to be the world leader in advancing the treatment and prevention of catastrophic diseases in children. This vision will be pursued by providing outstanding patient care; by conducting basic, transnational and clinical research designed to elucidate biological mechanisms, understand disease parthenogenesis, improve diagnosis, enhance treatment outcome, prevent diseases and minimize adverse consequences of treatment; and by educating health care and scientific research professionals.

Through these efforts we seek to cure and enhance the quality of life for an increasing proportion of children who come to us for treatment, and by expanding and sharing knowledge, to advance treatment of children with catastrophic diseases worldwide, while developing strategies to prevent catastrophic diseases in children.

Values Our foremost responsibilities are to the children with catastrophic diseases, their families, and to the donors that have committed their personal resources toward our Mission. To fully meet these responsibilities, we are committed to an explicit set of values. These values are the standards of behavior that we use to guide our daily actions and decisions. We will ensure that these standards of behavior are adhered to through ongoing training of all personnel working at St. Jude, and by annually evaluating the executive leadership, faculty and staff in their adherence to these values. Our values of ethical behavior are an important part of who we are, and their incorporation into the fabric of the institution directly impacts our ability to make progress toward achieving our Mission, while simultaneously strengthening our reputation. A commitment to provide our patients with the highest quality of medical and supportive care, and their families with the level of information and support necessary for them to make informed decisions and to become active participants in the care of their children. A commitment to respect the ethnic, cultural, religious and lifestyle differences of patients, their families, our colleagues and our supporters. A commitment to our donors that every dollar donated will be wisely spent toward achieving our Mission of advancing cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic disease through research and treatment. A commitment to a culture of excellence, innovation and creativity, not only in our research, but in everything we do. A drive and a sense of urgency to succeed. Honesty, integrity, and accountability in our actions and decisions. A culture of trust and teamwork. Respect for the employees under our supervision. A commitment to the continual development of our employees. A commitment to diversity. A commitment to social responsibility and institutional citizenship on a local, state, national and global level.

Please look under the car cushions, car seats, old clothes and collect your change to  turn in your pennies into dollars and lets send them to Rebecca and Sharon please!!!

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David
