Teaching the Necessities for Middle/High School

I am back this morning to watch some more of the 2016 Digital Homeschool Convention. And no, I do not have a child in high school. But I wanted to go ahead and listen to this class Teaching the Necessities for Middle/High School. So if my readers have students this age and have any questions that I would be able to help them. Or have an idea of where to find the answers to there questions.

This morning I am listening to Teaching the Necessities for Middle/High School English and Language Art. Even though Charlie is in 3rd grade I, still learned things in this class. And one of the things I learned was that she uses Phonics and this is the type of item I want to use with Charlie.

The first item is to use Phonics for reading. And I can tell you from when Suzzane was little she wasn’t taught Phonics and it hindered her in reading. So with Charlie, I, am going to make sure he uses Phonics. As I know this is the correct way to teach Charlie to read.

The second thing I learned was to start a Journel with Charlie and on the first day of school have them write something out and keep it till the end of the year then at the end of the year have them write the same thing. And then hand them the page from the first of the year and let them see how much they have improved. Charlie, I think I will do it once a month. As I want to see if he is getting better with his Handwriting. As right now it is horrible.

So I hope you take the time today to listen in to the 2016 Digital Homeschool Convention and that you take the time to listen to Teaching the Necessities for Middle/High School. And once your done watching the class make sure you Download your “Freebie”. Make sure your following Katie.
