“This Day in History”

I’m back for another day of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and today we were asked to write a post called “This Day In History”.

In fact they even gave us a site to visit which I am so glad they did. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to write this post and would have had to venture out on my own.

Please take a look at the website called “This Day In History” and see what you find on here you would like to discuss. As I picked out Juan Manuel Fangio makes his Formula One debut. As Charlie, David and I all love anything to do with automobiles. Especially car racing so I knew it would be fun to share this article with them as well as you all.

I would like for you to read the article and come back and share one thing you learned from it with Charlie and I. Then Charlie has a question for you all. It says he drove these three cars which one would you like to have and why:  Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo.

Charlie says he would like to have the Maserati and I chose the Alfa Romeo and David says he would take the Ferrari as it would beat Charlies and my car in any race. Do you think that is true and if so why?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates

  1. Let me tell you something about car racing. Unless someone has developed a really big secret, it’s the driver and his (it’s almost 100% a his biz) team that makes the winner. NOT the car.

  2. Glenda, I would choose the Mercedes-Benz convertible, why not!

I think that you have the right car for each of you and can race each other and have fun.
We forget about what happens many years ago, it is good to remember!

    Have a good day Glenda!

    1. Yes, it is nice to remember the past. We picked out the best cars and could have lots of fun. Shall we pick you up for a drink or bite to eat?

    1. I will check out that post soon. Charlie says he will meet you there and he will win. He is very competitive but doesn’t mind losing to a friend.

  3. I think I would like to have a red Ferrari . . . I don’t know anything about cars but I had two Barbie Ferrari’s when I was little 🙂

    1. Charlie would pick the same car also in red for my mom and Davids moms. Plus, it is his favorite color as well. As for Barbie Ferrari’s I wasn’t lucky enough to get one. But I managed to get it for my daughter.

  4. I do not have the savvy about cars., but I heard once that Ferrari cars are fast because of their components. I’m not sure if it’s true.

It’s interesting to know that your a family that loves cars. Not so common for a lot of families.

    1. Yes, that is true about #Ferrari. No, not many families enjoy #cars but my dad and also David’s parents did as well. Even my daughter who passed away loved her cars
