Today, Is A Day I Feel Like Throwing In The Towel

As I was getting up this morning I was sitting on the side of my bed. I kept thinking “Today, Is A Day I Feel Like Throwing In The Towel”  As there is so many things I am behind on not only on the blog but in our home as well as my personal life.

Although to get through the day I just kept telling myself one step forward and to take baby steps.

As things can and will get easier, but only if I put in the effort needed to do this.

As I was telling myself this I kept saying I wish my  my mom or my daughter was here as I needed to get there advice. But we all know I cant as they are no, longer here. So, all I can say is  it seems like the end of last year was a blur. As, I  had so many expectations for our family as well as the blog. And I feel like a huge #FAILURE”. A ZERO….

But today when I sat down and looked at the blog and the things I did last year I saw a few accomplishments. But nothing like I wanted to see or all the things I wanted to happen that didn’t happen. Which is so hard to believe as it is 2016 and and in a couple weeks it will be 2017.

So today I thought I would just

QUIT!!!!!

But then I took a deep “BREATH” and reminded myself to “FULLY RELY ON GOD” for everything and it would all work out somehow someway. Even though it might not be what I wanted it would be “GOD”S” will and that is all that matters to me.

I know “QUITTING” isn’t  the answer but it is how I have been feeling more and more and more.

David and I thought this year would be easier than last year and instead it is turning out to be harder than the past couple of years as David had to take a cute in pay just to find a job.  I know things can turn around and I am Praying that they do. But to do this I have to make some changes for me and my family.

First of all I am going back to blogging “FULL TIME” nothing is or will  come in my way. “EVER, EVER, EVER!!!!

So here are the steps I need to do to make this happen:

1) I will rebuild my stats and my page rank as well as Google by learning the things I don’t know or that I pay people to do for me. As I can invest that money into fixing the things in our home that needs done.

2) I will set blogging goals as well as times to work on the house. Along with working on things with Charlie. No, more putting David, Charlie or the house of. The blog will be fourth as it should have been from the start.

a. God

b. David

c. Charlie

d. work

3) I will get work on getting new  reviews on a consecutive basis that I have been wanting but not getting. And get the companies I have wanted to work with for 6 years to work with me through reviews and giveaways.

4) I will work on updating all my Social Sites  with new and better profiles. I will work  on the sites I have neglected and prove to them that I am a blogger to be reckoned with.

5) I will build a networking team in Fort Worth to showcase not only the blog but also help my  friends build there businesses in new and unusual ways.  I will lead a successful team of individuals that will build teams to be reckoned with.

6) I will be cleaning out groups on Facebook and only use ones that can help me become a better blogger or build a business with my blog and work on learning how to become a VA (virtual assistant). I also will be revamping “Pinterest” and “Twitter” to make it more business like.

7) Groups like Sassy Goody Bags and DFW Eats Tweets and Shops will either be closed or I will revamp them into working groups. Or  I will not be visiting as much and posting in the groups unless I can figure out how they can help me accomplish the goals I have set for myself. So I might eventually shut those groups down. As I do not see them helping me as much as I hoped they would.

If you wish to work with me then you must reach out to me with the reasons why we should work together. As I am building a core group of people and those are the ones I will work with and as I go through 2017 I will be adding new people.

I have decided for my family that it is not feasible for us to do shows for a number of reasons such as the money we would need to invest in merchandise as well as the price of the events. So for me I will be building my business online and through the bags I will be putting together.

With the bags I will have a Blog and website for you to use. As well as a  a schedule up for the bags and it is your responsibility to get your items to me by that date. I will not be asking again and again.

I have several Event Planners and people that have advertising sites if you wish to learn how to grow a business online you will need to reach out to me and work with me as I can help you grow but only if you are teachable.

So with this being said I am putting one foot in front of  the other and I am turning my business and my life over to Jesus and I am not stressing anymore. I am a “MOMMY” first and foremost a wife and then a business owner  and I am going back to that.

My business hours are Monday through Friday 7  am CST to 3 pm CST and then from 8 pm till 10 pm.  I do not mind showcasing you on the blogs at any time but you must email me as I am not going to spend my time emailing anyone it is not productive for me.

My family and my blog as well as my businesses will come first.  But with a schedule I will still have time for all of you and help you grow your business as well. But you have to put the time into building your business and listen to the things I ask you to do. Which is first and foremost to “TRUST” me…

May God Bless everyone and watch me

“Rock MOMMIES REVIEWS”

Now, I have a question for  you do you have any advice for me  as I have so many hats to wear that I need some suggestions. I would like to say Thank you for taking the time to read “Today I feel like throwing in the towel.”  I wish you the best in 2017 and Please be watching as I work hard to bring this blog back to what it should be.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David

I hear you! There sometimes doesn’t seem like there’s enough hours in the day for everything 🙁 Focus is so important and commitment – both of which you’ve pledged to do in 2014 – good luck! PS I’ve never seen so many sharing icons before!

    1. No, there does not seem like enough hours. But I appreciate you stopping by and I look forward to checking out your site soon as well. Have a wonderful week. Plus your right on the sharing icons the lady that did my blog went a little crazy and heck I have no clue what half of them are or how they even work but one day I hope to figure them all out and to be able to share them with everyone.

  2. Glenda, I know it’s hard to put all your heart and soul into a blog and not get the feedback, followers, traffic, etc. that you are wanting, but you can’t base your blogging on numbers and what others do. You have to write for you and the followers you have. You have to be authentic. You have to be you. That is the only way that YOU will get satisfaction from blogging. It can’t be only about money or status or numbers.

My only suggestion right now is that it took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to comment on your blog. I had to register with your site, get a password and then log in. You need an easier comment method so people feel encouraged to comment here!

    1. I would have to agree with the signing up to comment. It was a lot more work than I would ever normally go through to leave a comment on someones blog.

For me, staying focused for blogging means I have to make a schedule. If i do not write it down, it does not get done. So I schedule everything from FB updates and things of that nature to when I am going to sit down and write, as well as when I need to do laundry. Every weekend on sunday evening I sit down and write out the week. It helps me to stay focused on priorities and not just react to what life throws at me day to day.

      1. I will start doing that to because the busier I get the more time I seem to wast trying to decide what I need to do. Or starting and stopping. Or I end up on Facebook and before I know it the day is gone.

      2. I should do this as well and once Charlie is back in school full time I plan on it. As well as learning how to schedule post to post on certain days and to get Twitter and Facebook to post on certain days by using Hootsuite.

    2. Thank you and I did not know that about leaving a comment but I will see if we can change it as I would not want to comment on anyone’s blog that made you do all that either. And you are right not to compare myself to someone else as we are all different.

    3. Thank you and I will get that fixed as soon as possible. As I didn’t know it was like that. And your right I need to blog for me not for everyone else. No, more worrying it is all in Gods hands and what happens or doesn’t happen is fine with me.

After reading your story about being ready to throw in the towel, I wanted to add my comment and almost threw in the towel myself. My best wishes for enjoying the journey of blogging. Your story needs a happy ending of why you love to blog and I assume it’s about doing reviews.

    1. Actually it is because I am able to be home with my son
and to help with things we need because reviews saves
us money on things we would like to do.

    2. Actually it isn’t about the reviews but empowering and helping others as well as sharing the things I do with my family.

  4. I hope you can keep on moving forward. Even if it’s only millimeters at a time. Hugs to you my blogging friend.

    1. It has been baby steps and I did end up stopping but I missed it so I am back and working harder than ever to regrow and I know I can and will make it.

  5. Reading your post really made me see how much blogging really is a full time job! You sound like you have your plan of attach though. I’m impressed 🙂

    1. Thank you it is nice to know I impressed someone as I have been struggling and I am way behind in my goals. Although I am back and refuse to give up.

  6. Mommy Knows Best

As you ease back into things, you’ll progressively find better ways to make your blog a success. Best wishes with your goal to be a full-time blogger!

    1. Thank you and it is a struggle but I am not going to give up. As I know I can do it and I will although it may take me longer to get where I want to be I will make it one day.

  7. Well I hope you accomplish all your goals. It takes a bit of effort of to do this blogging thing, but I love it.
