This morning I would like to share with you a new Homeschooling Resource. This new resource is from Woodland Trust Nature Detectives. I can’t wait to do some of these activities with Charlie. So I thought you might like to check them out with your students as well.
Age Range: 0-11 (Grades PreK-6, with parental supervision)
This terrific United Kingdom nature education website from the Woodland Trust offers a variety of free worksheets with activity ideas designed to inspire outdoor learning.
When you get to the site, you’ll see a menu of nature activities sorted by age:
- Age 0-2 Explore a new world
- Age 3-5 Get muddy and run wild
- Age 6+ Go on a real adventure
Simply click on a topic of interest and a new page opens where you can download and print the pdf file to do the activities offline. Also check out Fresh Air Fun – loads of ideas for family days out and outdoor fall fun.
There is a paid subscription program for residents of the U.K. but we can still enjoy the free activities to encourage learning about natural sciences.
