A Holiday Boyfriend by Olivia Dunkley

Adult Book Recomendations

Life sure is funny at times I was on Facebook the other day and there was a Author Olivia Dunkley looking for reviews for her book A Holiday Boyfriend. I don’t like reading books about the Holidays until there upon us but seeing the cover of the book I couldn’t say no.

What I didn’t know when I asked to review the book was it was also a Movie which is on Tubi. I haven’t watched the movie yet but I plan on it soon. I loved A Holiday Boyfriend and can’t wait to share the book with my girlfriends.

A Holiday Boyfriend is a feel good story about a girl getting dumped which most of us have dealt with at least once. Before you ask yes, there is romance in the story. The main character is a girl wanting to spend the holiday with someone she loves. Again something most of us can relate to. Can’t we?

The lengths the main character goes to find someone could be hilarious and at times I ended up shaking my head saying I would do that or are you crazy. LOL You may find yourself wanting to feel badly for the main character but how can you when your laughing so hard?

I would like to warn you there were some sad parts that almost had me crying but even those moments were heartwarming. I loved all the characters in A Holiday Boyfriend because they were easy to love. The girlfriends reminded me of myself and my best friends. I believe if I meet these ladies in real life we could have been friends.

Don’t let that fool you though because there may be someone you dislike which will keep you on the edge of your seat. I believe A Holiday Boyfriend by Olivia Dunkley should be on Oprah’s Must Read List and in everyone’s book Club. I plan on recommending A Holiday Boyfriend to my local Libraries.

I hope you take the time to read A Holiday Boyfriend and that you share both the book and movie with everyone you know. A Holiday Boyfriend by Olivia Dunkley is here first book but she has 2 more books in the works which I can’t wait to read. If your looking for a fun Stocking Stuffer for your girlfriends pick up a copy of A Holiday Boyfriend by Olivia Dunkley.

About:

A warm, witty holiday romance about second chances, unexpected love, and the magic that happens when we stop searching for perfect and start seeing what’s real.

Twelve days before Christmas, Katie’s perfectly curated life unravels when her boyfriend dumps her. Heartbroken and humiliated, she returns to her hometown, determined never to show up for Christmas alone again. With a dramatic vow to the universe, Katie makes herself a promise: next Christmas, she’s coming home with a man—the right man.

Enter Binder, the dating app where hope goes to die. Katie, alongside her ever-supportive and hilariously outspoken best friends Valerie and Keiko, embarks on a quest for love in the age of swipes, sparks, and spectacular disasters.

Just when she’s ready to give up, Jacob, a rugged, quiet cowboy who works at the ranch where Katie boards her horse, Charlie, literally rides to her rescue. Grateful and intrigued, Katie finds herself drawn to Jacob’s earthy charm and steady presence. But she has a plan—and he doesn’t fit it.

Still wary of love and skeptical of their differences, Katie proposes a simple, no-strings-attached arrangement: Jacob will be her Holiday Boyfriend—a festive plus-one to get her through the season, nothing more. Jacob agrees, but has no intention of being temporary.

As the snow falls and the holiday spirit works its magic, Katie begins to fall for Jacob. But Jacob’s hiding something -something that could derail everything between them.

When the truth comes out, will Katie see it as a betrayal—or a Christmas miracle in disguise?
