Charlie is sleeping the day away which is sad because August 10th is National S’mores Day #NationalSmoresDay. I don’t know about you but I know Charlie would want to celebrate #Smores. Which I hate to admit but I don’t eat S’mores because I don’t care for Marshmellows.
Charlie and David both like Marshmallow’s and Hershey’s Chocolate Bars which is my favorite Candy. What about you. Do you like Hershey’s Candy or not? Almond’s or not Almond’s and why? Living in a Townhome in our Complex at Appian Way Apartments they do not have a common area with Bar B Que Grills so you would think we wouldn’t be able to make Smore’s this evening.
That isn’t true we have our own Bar B Que Grill we can try and use or you can make Smore’s in the Microwave and Charlie can look up a recipe this evening and make a S’more for him and his dad. Would you want a Smore with them?
If they decide to use the Grill here is some tips for them and for your friends and family: Because you can definitely make S’mores on a BBB Que Grill—or really any backyard grill—and it’s a fun twist on the classic campfire treat.
Simple step-by-step guide to Smore’s on a bar B Que Grill

- Marshmallows (regular or jumbo)
- Chocolate Candy Bars ( which can be Milk, dark, or even White Chocolate)

- Cooking method: Direct grilling or foil packet
- Tools: Long-handled tongs or skewers, heavy-duty foil (if using packets)

- Preheat your grill to medium-high.
- Place chocolate on one half of a graham cracker.
- Toast marshmallows over the grill using skewers or long forks until golden brown.
- Sandwich the toasted marshmallow between graham crackers with chocolate.
- Press gently and enjoy!
Method 2: Foil Packet Style
- Assemble your s’more (graham cracker + chocolate + marshmallow + graham cracker).
- Wrap it tightly in foil.
- Place on the grill for 4–5 minutes until melted and gooey.
- Carefully unwrap and serve.
Tips for the perfect S’more
- Make sure you or someone you know watches the Marshmallows closely because they will go from golden brown to burnt fast!
- Try something new today when making S’mores and use different variations like Fudge-Striped Cookies or Peanut Butter Cups.
- Make sure to have heavy-duty foil on hand to prevent tearing on the grill.
Thank you,
