My family loves sharing new and unique #Holidays and this morning I would like to let you know that August 19th is International Orangutan Day #OrangutanDay. It’s funny the things that go through your mind when checking out the different Holidays.

I was thinking to celebrate National Orangutan Day that children #homeschooling could study Orangutan’s and watch a move about Orangutan’s or read Orangutans!: A My Incredible World Picture Book for Children (My Incredible World: Nature and Animal Picture Books for Children).

Then they could go on a Field Trip to the Local Zoo to see a Orangutan in person. I don’t know about where you live but we have 2 Zoo’s we can visit the Fort Worth Zoo or the Dallas Zoo to see Orangutans. Would you want to go with us?

I’ve also been thinking of Clint Eastwood’s moves “Every Which Way But Loose” (1978) and its sequel “Any Which Way You Can” (1980)  with Clyde the Orangutan and his right punch. Have you seen these movies? Charlie hasn’t because there were scenes in the movies I didn’t think children should see but Charlie is grown now.

We may do a Family Night this evening and watch both movies and read the book we found earlier. Would you want to join us? I also found and we can spend some time coloring and just relaxing.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
