I wanted to share a fun addition to our Christmas Gift Guide 25: Murder at River Run Inn: A Marnie Devlin Cozy Mystery by Sloane Foster (Author). Inside this post is my affiliate links. If you click on the links and make a purchase, I will make a small percentage from the products you purchase.
I’ve been expanding the genre of books I’m reading from Romances to include Mysteries. As soon as I saw the cover Murder at River Run Inn: A Marnie Devlin Cozy Mystery with the cute black and white Doogie that reminds me of Phebie it became I must read book for me.
David saw the book opened on my desk and even said it looks intriguing. David said he wouldn’t mind visiting the Inn. No, not me if there was a murder there. How about you? I love that one of the characters is named Taco.
Just don’t read Murder at River Run Inn: A Marnie Devlin Cozy Mystery if you’re hungry because you may end up like me and have to make Taco’s for dinner. I love how this book includes influencers who are attending the Midwest Creators & Critics Conference.
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t mind attending the conference with some of my influencer friends. Would you want to go? Midwest Creators & Critics Conference. Murder at River Run Inn will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to guess which of the unique character murdered Roxie Bell with a Storm thrown in so be turned to some rocky Weather.
About the book:
A killer’s on the loose, but Taco nose the truth…
Retired English teacher Marnie Devlin only wanted a quiet stopover with her loyal Chihuahua, Taco, before starting fresh in Willow Springs. Instead, she stumbles into the whirlwind world of the Midwest Creators & Critics Conference—a gathering of influencers brimming with rivalries, grudges, and more secrets than recipes at a church potluck.
When glamorous lifestyle influencer Roxie Belle turns up dead during a tornado blackout, suspicion swirls faster than the storm outside. Everyone trapped in the River Run Inn had a reason to despise Roxie: Dr. Simon Hatch, the history professor whose career she destroyed with a viral video, Leo Kwan, the chef whose recipes she stole for fame, Jake Zimmerman, the trucker whose livelihood she ruined online. And thanks to a missing designer handbag, all eyes are on Marnie.
Armed only with her wit and Taco’s keen nose for overlooked clues, Marnie must untangle lies before fear turns fatal again. If she fails, her new beginning may end before it ever starts.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
