For me Ghost goes with Halloween. Here we are celebrating Easter in a couple weeks. After reading To Catch A Ghost it’s the perfect book to be read year round. As well as to be in children’s Easter Baskets. This is a chapter book for elementary students.

We meet children leaving school discussing what they are going to bring for show-n-tell he is asked. Then his friend tells him about Drew who brought nothing and now no, one sees from Drew. He decides to bring a Ghost.

First he has to find the Ghost and we see all the places he looks. First you have to decide what type of Ghost your Ghost is. Charlie said if he had a Ghost it would be mischievous. Now it’s time to catch the Ghost. Oh, no I wonder what is going to happen.

Make a Ghost Trap. If Charlie and I had been #Homeschooling still we would have made a Ghost Trap out of wood and drew out our plans in our Art Class. To find out if he did Catch a Ghost or not you will need to pick up a copy of To Catch A Ghost.

About the book:

A charming and humorous tale about a new girl who is determined to stand out at show-and-tell… by catching a ghost!

”Hauntingly good — quirky, amusing, and deeply felt.” — Kirkus Reviews

Bringing nothing to show and tell is like wearing shoes without socks.

It stinks.

So, when all you got is nothing, you need to catch yourself a something.

And if you’ve got gumption, that something could be a ghost.

Show-and-tell isn’t for the faint of heart, so grab your camera, flashlight, and backpack — it’s time to catch yourself a ghost! Once you find a good one, spend some quality time together. This will provide all the information you need to build the perfect ghost trap. It will also probably complicate things. So, when the moment finally arrives, you may be confident you can catch a ghost…but can you catch a friend?

A ghostly good tale about the high stakes of show-and-tell, unexpected friendships, and accepting the unknown — brought to life with Rachel Michelle Wilson’s playful and heartfelt illustrations.

After charming readers of all ages with her first book HOW TO PEE YOUR PANTS: THE RIGHT WAYRachel Michelle Wilson is back with TO CATCH A GHOST, a heartwarming story about fitting in at a new school, the high stakes of show and tell, and the warm friendship of a ghost—perfect for Halloween and all year round!
