Once Charlie and David get up this morning we have to run errands. I wanted to let you know February 5th is National Chocolate Fondue Day #ChocolateFondueDay. I’ve never actually had Fondue of any kind. Although Charlie used to eat Chocolate Fondue when we would go and eat at Golden Correl.

With #ValentinesDay around the corner I may get Sizikato Heart Shaped Red Porcelain Chocolate Fondue Set, 10 Oz for Charlie and David. As well as Charlie’s girlfriend Mikaylia. I will pick up Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar and Marshmallows and on our next Movie Night Charlie and David can make Smores. Would you want to join us?

Now I would like to remind you National Chocolate Fondue Day had us at “Chocolate.” But remember Chocolate Fondue is even better. Just in case you needed an excuse to indulge in some melted Chocolate, you’ve got it with National Chocolate Fondue Day.

National Chocolate Fondue Day is a day to get creative with your favorite sweets, and decide whether you want to share the treats with someone else, or keep them all to yourself. Remember for your dipping you can use Strawberries, Bananas, and Marshmallows because everything tastes better with Chocolate. Doesn’t it? Don’t forget there’s only one question to ask on February 5th: What will YOU dip and why?

National Chocolate Fondue Day Activities

  1. If you have the means and the opportunity gather a group of friends together and have each one bring something to contribute. Bonus points if you have multiple Fondue pots going!
  2. Fondue can be quite romantic, especially when were talking Chocolate-dipped Strawberries. Don’t forget to light Candles, gather the ingredients, and have a romantic Fondue night with your friends and family. Pets count just don’t give them any Chocolate because we wouldn’t want to make them sick.
  3. Turn National Chocolate Fondue Day into a competition and have friends and/or family compete for the best Fondue recipes and dipping fun.

Things To Dip In Chocolate Fondue

  1. Strawberries and Chocolate go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise Strawberries go well with Fondue.
  2. How about melted Marshmallows glued to cereal aka a Rice Krispie Treat all blended together and dipped in Chocolate Creating decadence on a budget?
  3. Looking for something different to dip in Fondue then you should free to spice things up a bit by trying Coconut Marshmallows. I know David would like these a lot. How about you?
  4. Chocolate-covered Bananas are a hit on their own, but when dipped in Chocolate Fondue, Bananas are even better.

Why We Love National Chocolate Fondue Day

  1. Chocolate is a great source of antioxidants and today we are going to ignore the Sugar in Chocolate and instead focus on the fact that Chocolate is packed full of antioxidants. This is especially true for Dark Chocolate, or anything above 70% Cocoa. So basically, you’re doing your body a favor by eating Chocolate Fondue.
  2. Studies have shown that consuming Chocolate can help lower your levels of bad cholesterol (LDL). And that’s with regular consumption. So go ahead and purchase a couple of Chocolate Bars next time you’re at the store.
  3. People say anything with Fondue is fabulous including Strawberries, Marshmallows, or simply other forms of Chocolate. Anything goes to make National Chocolate Fondue Day #ChocolateFondueDay sweet.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
