Everybody Scream!: Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Pop Up, Play, and Display! (UpLifting Editions) (Review)

Children's Book Reviews

I usually do not read books or watch TV Shows before Holidays but David was home last night and he wanted to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas. Once David finished the show I handed him a new children’s book from Everybody Scream!: Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Pop Up, Play, and Display! (UpLifting Editions) by Evie Daye (Author), Disney (Illustrator).

This book is published by Abrams Books. I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review. Inside this post is my affiliate links. If you click on the links and you make a purchase I will make a small percentage off the items you purchase.

Not only Charlie and I but David as well enjoy watching The Nightmare Before Christmas movie as a family not only during Christmas but Halloween. This book is a board book and its perfect for small children all the way up to adults who enjoy the movie.

I love how the Author explained to us on how to use this book from reading the story to allowing the character to pop- up on each page. Then you can take off the book jacket to transform into a colorful collection of our favorite characters to display.

I had to fight both David and Charlie to keep the cover on the book so I can use this book as part of our Halloween Decorations when we decorate for #Halloween. Charlie being Charlie reminded me I would also need to leave the book out at Christmas. I don’t know about that. What do you think I should do and why/

. I liked how inside the book is the character Jack Skellington we can move from side to side which will be fun for children. You should see Sall. I loved her skirt which would be fun to have. Sally has a black Kitten I wouldn’t mind having. How about you? Charlie liked Zero the small Ghost Dog he wants to keep for himself. How about you. Would you want a Ghost Dog?

Charlie thought Dr. Finklestein was cute. Charlie said he wouldn’t mind pushing Dr. Finklestein around in his wheelchair. If were not careful I bet you we see Charlie and Bradley borrowing his wheelchair to ride down a hill in.

Then there was the Major. No, I’m not going to tell you who Major is you will need to pick up a copy of Everybody Scream!: Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Pop Up, Play, and Display! Then we see Lock. If your not familiar with Lock if not you have to check out the book. I liked Shock and her outfit and the hat. Look at Barrel isn’t he cute?

My family thought Oogie Boogie was cute we loved his name. Now this isn’t all of the characters but I’m not going to tell you who else is in the book because I believe you should check out Everybody Scream!: Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Pop Up, Play, and Display! on your own. Don’t get distracted playing with all the characters that you forget to read the book as soon as possible.

Meet the Author:

Evie Daye is a longtime fan of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and could not be more thrilled to get to write this book. Her favorite character is Sally, and her favorite song is “This is Halloween,” of which she does all the voices when singing along.

On the rare occasion Evie Daye doesn’t have her nose in a book, Daye loves to watch scary movies, hole up in cozy Coffee shops, and go on adventures with friends. She lives and writes in Brooklyn. She sounds like a person I would like to be friends with. How about you? Just remember to bring along a book if your going to hang out with us because we will be in a Coffee Shop reading and having a cup of Coffee for her and Iced Tea for me and hopefully it’s Sweet Tea.

Thank you

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
