You all know how I feel about Learning. Even if a child has graduated from school. Which is why I would like to bring you a new Homeschool Resource: ReadingDuck.com. You must know by now I love Ducks and reading so why wouldn’t I take the opportunity to shareReadingDuck.com with you.
On ReadinDuck.com you choose a topic which will bring you to reading worksheets. I wish I had known about ReadingDuck.com when Suzzie and Charlie were Homeschooling. This website would have saved me time and helped me prepare Lesson Plans on subjects I didn’t know much about.
I love finding out there is worksheets from Preschool through Grade 12. The reading worksheets cover the following subjects: Art, Careers, Culture, Economics which C’s girlfriend can use to supplement her learning this year.
There is also worksheets on Health and Hobbies I would like to check out with Charlie. Along with Literature, Math. Music and People, I can’t wait to check out. Would you want to look through these sections with me?
Physical Education is something we need to get back into in our home. I can’t wait to look through the worksheets to see if there are ways to get my family up and moving. I know Charlie and even Suzzie would have loved looking through the Science worksheets. How about you?
Social and Emotional and Social Studies would have been a class David could have taught Charlie with the help of their worksheets giving me a break. Charlie being Charlie said I need to check out Technology worksheets to help me in my business and even though I hate to admit Charlie is right this time he is.
My Nephew Jason is in Middle School now and Lily will be next year and I can’t wait to let there parents know covers the following genres Drama which Jason is taking in Middle School. Fiction and Nonfiction and Reading Poetry which I could have used with Charlie.
We all know Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years is right around the corner and children will be out of school keep them busy with the Holiday worksheets. You could even use the woeksheets with the Holidays I share each day to create a new and unique Lesson Plan.
One feature I never thought of when looking for work sheets for Suzzie and Charlie to work on was the word count in a worksheet I wanted Charlie or Suzzane to work on but ReadingDuck.com has that covered with their word count you can find here which goes from 20 words to 2,000 words.
There was even a #teeachingmoment for me as a teacher when I had to find out what skill worksheets are. With David struggling to read and Charlie trying to teach David I’m going to see if they want to check out Pre-Reading Worksheets which will help them both out.
The Purpose
The purpose of our website is to offer free reading worksheets aimed at improving literacy and reading comprehension for students. These worksheets cover a variety of subjects, genres, and skills, and are organized by grade level, word count, and other relevant factors.
The website is designed to support reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and other essential language arts skills through fun, engaging stories and exercises. It is a useful resource for teachers, homeschoolers, and parents looking for educational materials to help students develop their reading abilities.
Who Are We
This project is a labor of love, born from the heart of a retired reading teacher who refused to let her passion for education fade with retirement. She began with a modest website, crafting and sharing worksheets with a handful of friends in her community. But what started as a simple act of giving soon blossomed into something far greater.
Inspired by her dedication, her friends, also retired, eagerly stepped in to help, pouring their own energy into expanding the site’s resources. Little did they know, this would be the spark that ignited a movement-proof that retirement doesn’t mark the end of contribution, but rather a new chapter full of untapped potential.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
