How To Deal With An Angry Teenager by Rebecca Flag (Parenting)(Review)

Children's Book Reviews Parenting/ Families

I wanted to share a self-help book the Author created not only for TEENS but parents as well called How To Deal With An Angry Teenager for (Parenting) written by Rebecca Flag. I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review. Also, I will have a review for Parenting Teenage Girls.

I don’t know if you have a TEEN or not like I do. I also don’t know if you get along all the time or not. In our home living with Charlie is like living with Dr. Jeckyl and Hyde. One moment Charlie is sweet and is talking to me and wanting to do something with me . In just a flip of the switch Charlie is mean and hateful. Cussing me out and calling me all kinds of names. Pushing and hitting me.

There is more times than not that I want to throw in the towel and move. Then I think about what might happen if I move because I love my son. I’m sure his behavior is part of his hormones. No, that isn’t a excuse but before you ask if he is this way with his dad most of the time no. Does David do anything about it when Charlie turns on me. Sometimes yes but most of the time not enough to change Charlie’s behavior. Making me want to leave both of them.

This is why I was glad to receive a copy of How To Deal With An Angry Teenager the book has helped me understand Charlie more thank the LORD because I was at my wits end. I like how the Author reminds us that our children aren’t just being a…holes. I love how the Author has included illustrations in the book which helps keep our attention on what were reading.

I love how the author has included a chapter on “Warning My Teenager Is In Trouble’ which has helped Charlie and I understand his best friend B ie Bradley. There is also a chapter on “When Tecnology Helps Your Teen Become Rebellious” which I’ve witnessed first hand. Have you?

If you have children I hope you take the time to read How To Deal With An Angry Teenager because this book has helped me become a better parent and to understand Charlie and why he act out and the book helped me understand what Charlie his friends are going through.
