I thought I would let you know May 4th is National Orange Juice Day #NationalOrangeJuiceDay. I don’t know about you but most of the time #OrangeJuice is a staple in my home. Although, I seem to be the only one who drinks Orange Juice in my home.

I usually get Tropicana Orange Juice with no, Pulp but I’ve also purchased Minute Maid or Store Brand Orange Juice sometimes. Do you drink Orange Juice? Pulp or no, pulp and why? Do you have a favorite brand of Orange Juice? David doesn’t and if I was to ask Charlie he would say Sunny D My question for you is Sunny D Orange Juice or not and why? I used to only purchase Frozen Orange Juice but it’s been years since I’ve done that. Now its refrigerated Orange Juice. What about you?

There are as many different types of Orange Juice as there are types of Oranges. As you know Orange Juice may or may not have bits of Fruit in it, and is classified as Orange Juice with pulp and Orange Juice without pulp. The choice is yours when it comes to Orange Juice.

Depending on the process of manufacture, Orange Juice is labeled in different ways. The most commonly available kind of Orange Juice is frozen concentrated Orange Juice. In this process, commercially squeezed Orange Juice is pasteurized, and all the oxygen is removed from it to ensure longevity. Then it is evaporated and the concentrate is stored at low temperatures. Reconstituted Juice is Juice created by adding Water to this frozen concentrate. 

There are advantages and disadvantages to the various types of Orange Juice. While canned Juice retains much more Vitamin C than reconstituted Juice, it lasts a shorter time and tends to lose its flavor. Freshly squeezed Orange Juice, as the name suggests, is squeezed from the Fruit and not pasteurized or processed in any way. It has an even shorter shelf life, but the most flavor and vitamins of all the different types of Orange Juice.

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Lightly smack each orange on the counter. Cut each orange in half and squeeze juice into a glass.
