Children's Book Reviews

I’ve always loved #Gardening . I would love to do a farm to table dinner with one night. I would need to find friends to join me for dinner because Charlie and David don’t do many #vegetables. Do you? I sat down to read Our Food Grows by Sarah M. White and Illustrated by Tessa Gibbs.

Version 1.0.0

Life is funny I’ve been telling David I want English Peas ie Sweet Peas for dinner and on the cover of the book is the Peas I’ve been wanting. Along with a Strawberry David said he would like to taste.

I know my mother in law Sherry and my sister Debbie would like to take a bite out of the Tomato. What about you? David and I will pass on the Tomato. Charlie said he would as well. Charlie liked the color of bluish green they used for the backdrop and David and I did too.

Charlie and I sat down to read Our Food Grows which is for younger children and we liked seeing the plate and answering the question “Did you know our food grows? Taking me back to my grandmother’s garden.

I wish I had my own Garden and now that it’s Spring its the perfect time but living in a Town Home we can’t have a #garden. Can you? If you have your own garden can Charlie and I come help you in the Garden?

In the book we learn about Farm to Frezer and what foods it includes like Sweet Peas and then we learn about buying food in grocery stores. Then we learn many foods grow from plants. I’ve sure you knew that didn’t you?

I like how the Author explains where and how food like Strawberries are grown. Making Our Food Grows the perfect book to use in a #HomeschoolCooking Class or classes on gardening which I would like to attend. How about you?

We learned about Asparagus my dad and my sister’s favorite vegetable. Do you like Asparagus? My family doesn’t. I don’t want to give everything away in the book but David and Charlie said you should see CORN and they want Corn for themselves.
