I wanted to share a new self-help book with you. Prosperity Mantras Modern Affirmations for Abundance by Destiny Taylor (Author), Cat Willett (Illustrator) from Running Press. I always love finding new and unique gifts for my girlfriends or books I could’ve used when #Homeschooling Charlie. I’m excited to let you know Prosperity Mantras is perfect for both of these and so much more.
I love how the Author used women in the book which also comes with a set of cards. I found people and products I hadn’t ever heard in the book like “The Queen of Cups”. Which tells us “Love is an infinite source within me and around me. Making me more aware of my surroundings and the people and things I come into contact with.
I’m so glad there are cards to go with the book because the book is pretty small to try and hold and the print inside was hard to read because it is so small and I do not have glasses and couldn’t see the Authors writing clearly. But that shouldn’t keep you from checking out Prosperity Mantras.
Charlie has perfect eye sight I would have Charlie would read a section to me every morning. Then we would discuss what he had read bringing us closer together. I liked having the cards because each morning I would chose a car and leave it on my desk face up to guide me through my day.
At night I would use the journal and jot down notes about the card and how that card helped me out that day. Or what happened and how I could have changed the outcome. The pictures on the backs of the cards are so cute and radiates happiness. If you have a girlfriend struggling you should pick Prosperity Mantras for them.
Once you’ve finished with the cards and the book they go back into the cover of the book and there is a magnetic closure to keep everything in place. I loved the cover so much that I have mine setting out on my bookshelf and all of my friends and family have picked the book up and browsed through it leading to new conversations bringing us closer together.

Cat Willett is a Brooklyn-based illustrator and author of The Queen of Wands: The Story of Pamela Colman Smith: The Artist Behind the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck (Running Press, September 2022) and the forthcoming Women of Tarot (Running Press, June 2024). Her work celebrates women and aims to uplift and inspire others through bold, vibrant imagery.
