I don’t know about you, but I know my best friend Debbie Sutton was going a Happy Dance on September 22nd because its the 1st Day of Fall #FirstDayofFall. I wanted to wish everyone a Happy First Day of Fall Day and month.
The Weather should be pretty and cool enough to get outside. Thank the LORD. Now I can walk. Hopefully, God willing and the Creek doesn’t rise. Come join me and let’s look at the Leaves changing colors.
Did you know September 22 marks the Autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, when day and night are nearly equal in length. It’s not an official public holiday, but many people celebrate it as the symbolic start of cozy season. Think Pumpkin Spice everything, my mother’s favorite and flannel shirts, my dad’s favorite and the crisp air, and golden leaves my favorite. What is your favorite part of Fall?
Here are a few fun ways people embrace the #FirstDayOfFall:
- 🎃 Decorating with pumpkins, gourds, and autumn wreaths
- ☕ Sipping seasonal drinks like apple cider or pumpkin spice lattes
- 🌽 Visiting farms for corn mazes and hayrides
- 🍁 Leaf peeping in parks or scenic drives
- 🕯️ Lighting fall-scented candles to set the mood
If you’re feeling festive, you could post a photo of your favorite fall moment with the hashtag #FirstDayOfFall. This is a great way to join the seasonal celebration online and you just might make a new friend or two.
