I wanted to share a #Holiday which fell on September 26th, NATIONAL SHAMU THE WHALE DAY #ShamuTheWhaleDay. This is one #Whale not only have I known about forever but one my children grew up with. Shamu the Whale was an attraction in Sea World in San Antiono, Texas.
My ex took Suzzie and I to San Antiona to Sea World but when we got inside it started to rain, and they started the Park. I never had the opportunity to return not even with David and Charlie. I’ve never gotten to see Shamu but I what about you. Have you seen Shamu or would you want to?
if you didn’t know I wanted to let you know September 26, National Shamu the Whale Day not only honors a famous Whale but also raising awareness about Orcas in our Oceans. Did you know these powerful predators are the largest member of the Dolphin family?
Shamu is the name used in several of the SeaWorld Orca Whale shows and it is the stage name given to the “star” of those shows, beginning with the original Shamu in the late 1960s. Shamu died in 1971. However, SeaWorld trademarked the name Shamu. They gave the name to different Orcas throughout the years when performing in Shamu shows in several SeaWorld parks.
