The Adventures Of The Flash Gang Episode Three: Berlin Breakout by M.M. Downing and S.J. Waugh
The Adventures Of The Flash Gang Episode Three: Berlin Breakout reminds me of the ol time detective shows my dad used to watch with all the suspense and drama which will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Author also has two other books in this series which like The Adventures Of The Flash Gang Episode Three: Berlin Breakout touches on friendship, loyalty and a bit of mystery thrown in from a by gone era I wish I could have visited.
About:
In 1936 twelve-year-old streeter Lewis Carter finds himself in Berlin, Germany, at the heart of Nazi territory, on a convoluted trail to uncovering the whereabouts of his long-missing, presumed-dead father, Professor Harold Carter. Lewis is armed with a street map, an address…and of course his best friend, Pearl Alice Clavell. But even Pearl’ s wealthy and somewhat suspect connections cannot protect them from the dangers that lurk at every swastika-draped corner.
As they draw closer to finding Lewis’ s father, they discover that the professor is at the center of a deadly plot that threatens global stability and the very outcome of the impending war. The two friends must use all their street wiles— with the help of a Flash or two— to save the day, as well as their skins!
Meet the Author: M.M. Downing

MM DOWNING & SJ WAUGH really intended to be secret agents disguised as flappers in the Roaring Twenties, if only to don beaded headbands and twirl long strands of pearls while solving delicious crimes involving gangsters.
Or Scotland Yard detectives, wearing tailored, double-breasted suits, and sneaking up rickety fire escapes before pursuing criminals across the rooftops of Victorian London. Unfortunately, they were born in neither place, and without access to a time machine.
So they decided to write books.
If you too are a bit of a sleuth, you may uncover the other stories they’ve written separately and with (maybe) their full names—but here they are simply known as Downing & Waugh…which does sound just a bit like a detective agency…from another era.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
