I wanted to share another book from The Tuttle Twins series of books. In the series is 12 books. Today I’m sharing book 3 The Tuttle Twins and the Creature From Jekyll Island by Connor Boyack and the book is Illustrated by Elijah Stanfield. Inside this post is my affiliate links. knew both David and Charlie would like The Tuttle Twins and the Creature From Jekyll Island because the cover on the book looks scary. Just look at the Octopus behind the twins and the black background which reminds me of Halloween. I wouldn’t mind having the money floating through the air
In this story the twins are helping Mr. Tuttle take care of Bees. They would extract the Honey the Bee’s made to sell after keeping some of the Honey for themselves. They were going to the County Fair and Farmers Market where they would sell there Honey.
Before they went to the County Fair and Farmers Marker there grandparents took the twins to the movies to see the new Superhero Movie. Charlie and I would have liked to go with them. Would you want to come with us?
The Grandparents talked about how the outing was cost more than they expected. Both twins get scarred when the Octopus from another movie showed up on the screen scaring them. It would have scarred me to but not Charlie or David. What about you?
Ethan’s parents and grandparents where discussing there income when Ethan overheard them. Both the twins dreamed about the money being stolen all night. The kids talk to the Grandparents about what they heard.
They explained “medium of exchange” to the kids a #teachingmoment for our family and yours to. Especially if your #Homeschooling your children. We learn about bartering which I don’t know about you but I’ve used and was fun to teach Charlie. You should teach your children barter as well.
They discuss how prices have gone up. We learn about coins which could lead to a class on money if your #Homeschooling your children or just for fun. We learn about the year 1910 when bankers created the Federal Resreve.
Next we learn about inflation which everyone needs to learn about. next the Author mentions retirement which you can also study with your children. Now, lets study “World War 1” the Author mentions. If your studying Countries you should check out Zimbabwe.
Have you ever heard of a “One Hundred Trillion Dollar Bill? Me neither but its mentioned in the book. Next we learn about “flat currency”. Do you know what that is? No, then you need to check out The Tuttle Twins and the Creature From Jekyll Island because I’m not going to tell you.
I was surprised the Author even mentioned Bicton which y family needs to learn more about. How about you?
