I thought I would share a book you will find inside our 2025 Christmas Gift Guide: Twitchland The Graphic Novel (World of Withcland) I received a copy of the book in exchange for this review. Inside this post is my affiliate links. If you click on the links and make a purchase I will make a small percentage of the products, you purchased.

Novel (World of Witchland by Tim Mulligan was a book I thought Charlie and his friend B ie Bradley would enjoy because its a Graphic Novel and also reminds me of Anime. To me its more like a Comic Book that is dark but will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Twitchland is the third book in the series, and these books can be read as a standalone novel. The story ttackles the problem of drug abuse in society’s toxic environment. Along with creepy radioactive bats, I knew David would like.

Inside the story is dark humor, something both Charlie and David like. Me not so much but I did like the artwork. Charlie said TwitchLand feels like a mix of horror movie and social commentary. I didn’t read the book because I was afraid it would keep me up all night.

David and Charlie read Twitchland from beginning to end and didn’t want to put the book down until they finished the story which is set in Richland, Washington, near the Hanford Nuclear Plant, and explores the town’s toxic environment and the impact on its residents.

Twitchland follows the family introduced in “Witchland” and “Snitchland” through new challenges and dangers related to the town’s dark history. My family hasn’t had the opportunity to read the other books but I plan on getting them for my family and B for Halloween.

About: Twitchland: Addiction-Laced Story of Toxic Waste and Mutant Bats a ‘Radioactive Fever Dream’

Playwright and author Tim Mulligan has had more than his fair share of paranormal encounters — and lucky for us, he uses his spooky experiences to inspire his written work. His latest graphic novel, Twitchland, blends the real-world horrors of addiction and toxic waste with a vicious twist involving mutant bats that leave their victims hooked at first bite. To see more of Tim and the genesis of his horror-centric plays and graphic novels.

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., July 7, 2025 — Readers who have followed the weird and wicked journey of the truly modern family at the center of the Witchland series of graphic novels should brace for a nuclear meltdown of addiction, horror and humor in the latest installment, Twitchland.

“It’s gritty, grotesque and (hopefully) unforgettable — a radioactive fever dream we can’t wait for you to read,” said author Tim Mulligan. Mulligan’s World of Witchland Series is a collection of scary, surprisingly funny and beautifully rendered graphic novels set in Richland, Washington, a very real town deemed “the most toxic place in the Western hemisphere” thanks to a now-defunct nuclear site that is leeching deadly waste into the soil.

The first book in the series, Witchland, follows the journey of an unsuspecting family that moves to this mysterious town and comes face to face with ghosts of the past, including a witch who haunts their lives. Witchland’s spine-tingling sequel, Snitchland, unravels a new chapter for the family and serves up a cautionary tale as whistleblowers attempt to shed light on the real cause behind a collapsed tunnel at the nuclear site.

And now, Twitchland offers a compelling take on the drug epidemic hitting towns across the country, as local bats find their way into the buried tanks of radioactive toxic waste — and a new type of “monster” is born.

“Throw together a drug addiction culture with toxic waste in the haunted town of Richland, and you have the makings for a terrifying and wholly unique graphic novel unlike anything you’ve ever expected,” Mulligan added. “Think Trainspotting meets The Lost Boys meets The Toxic Avenger.”

Mulligan’s gripping Witchland series plunges readers into the heart of nuclear nightmares, where the past refuses to stay buried, where ghosts whisper from the toxic fog, and where the land itself is poisoned with something far worse than radiation.
