Charlie and I are glad to see you this morning as we share our question for our Would You Rather Challenge on August 7th, 2025. Before we share the question with you it comes from the children’s book by The Ultimate Book of Would You Rather Questions: 1001 Family-Friendly Challenges for Kids, Teens and Adults by Kimberly McLeod (Author). Play the world’s longest game and win or play the world’s shortest game 100 times and lose each time? Why?
Charlie said he wouldn’t mind playing the worlds longest game and winning because he stays up most of the night playing games now so this wouldn’t be hard to do. With Charlie’s temper when he loses I also think the longest game would be better for him.
David said he doesn’t have time to play the world’s longest game so he would choose the world’s shortest game and lose each time which winning isn’t everything and he would learn patience and be easier for him.
With my knees the way they are I wouldn’t be able to play the world’s longest game unless I could sit down and get up and move around when I need to. I would choose to play the world’s shortest game 100 times and lose if I could play the games I wanted on my own time limit and be able to take breaks when I need to.
Which would you rather do: Play the world’s longest game and win or play the world’s shortest game 100 times and lose each time? Why?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
