Would You Rather Challenge July 6th, 2025

Children's Book Reviews

Charlie and I would like to wish you a wonderful Saturday. I hope you’ve found something fun to do on your own or with your friends and family. David is working late today. Charlie is streaming and I’ve decided I would work for a bit.

David and I’ve been blessed today Charlie is going to take us out to dinner at Pancho’s when David gets off. I can’t wait to have Pancho’s Rice with Cheese Sauce and Nachos. Would you want to join us for dinner?

In the meantime we wanted to share our post for this morning’s challenge in Would You Rather: have a Mermaid friend or a Pet Unicorn.

This is a hard question for me because I’ve always loved mermaids and Unicorns. If I could have a Mermaid friend like Aerial from the Little Mermaid it would make choosing even harder. But I’m going to pick having a pet Unicorn because I’ve been intrigued by #Unicorns all my life.

Charlie and David said this question is more for girls but if they had to choose Charlie said he would pike a pet Unicorn because he doesn’t like Water and we all know Mermaids live in Water. Plus, Charlie said he would be able to fly on a Unicorns back to Heaven and back.

David said bring on the Mermaid who can introduce him to the creatures of the Lakes and Oceans. Although, a pet Unicom might be fun as well David said especially if he could ride on the Unicorns back around the World.

Which would you rather do: Have a Mermaid friend or a Pet Unicorn? Why?

Remember these questions are brought to us from the children’s book by The Ultimate Book of Would You Rather Questions: 1001 Family-Friendly Challenges for Kids, Teens and Adults written by  Kimberly McLeod (Author).

Having this book is a great way to get conversation moving between children and adults. If your teaching school you can use this book in your reading class or in a Creative Writing Class which is what we did when Charlie was #Homeschooling.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
