C.O.R.E. Value Titles

The other night we had an event at Charlies school and while there the principal went over what C.O.R.E. Values are and why they are learning them. I thought I would share them with you. As you can use these values not only in you homeschool class but also in your home.

Now. before I share the C.O.R.E. Values with you I would like to let you know the school is using one each six weeks. But you can use them as little or as much as you like. You can even add more C.O.R.E. Values to your list. Which is what I am thinking of doing as there is so much I want to teach Charlie.

1st Six Weeks: Responsibility

Definition:  Ability to distinguish between right and wrong and to be accountable for one’s behavior. Accountability.

Definition: Ability to identify with and understand somebody else Fellings or difficulties. Understanding, Compassion

5th Six Weeks Value: Acceptance; Definition: Willingness to treat someone or something of different views, cultures, religions or appearance with fairness. Open-mindness.

6th Six weeks Value: Courage: Definition: Ability to face difficulty or uncertainty without being overcome with fear. Bravery, Valor.
