The Polar Express

David was getting ready to leave for work he mentioned he hadn’t been able to watch any of his favorite Christmas movies. So today Charlie and I are going to go Christmas Shopping and pick up The Polar Express for David, and if he happens to be home on Christmas day or Christmas Eve, we can watch this movie as a family. Although I am afraid David will be working both days and it will just be Charlie and me.

The Polar Express [Blu-ray] by Warner Home Video

We had Christmas last night, and we aren’t sure if David will be working on Christmas and Christmas Eve, I wanted to make sure we had fun things to do on Christmas Eve. So today as I was online, I went to visit my favorite site which called Homeschool Giveaways & Freebies.

While I was on this website, I pulled up Crafts, Recipes, and Books to read as we watch the Polar Express. As well as some new items I can give as Gifts to Charlie and David featuring The Polar Express.

I thought you might want to check out the article Polar Express Resources: {free} printable, crafts, recipes & MORE! You might want to create some of the projects or make some of the recipes with your family. Or you might be looking for some new story books to read with your children. So make sure you check out the article at:

I would like to ask you a question for you what is your favorite Christmas movie and why? As well as what is your children’s favorite Christmas movie and why?

Journey Beyond Your Imagination

The Polar Express is an enchanting holiday tale of a young boy who doubts that Santa Claus indeed exists. On one particular Christmas Eve, as the boy skeptically waits for the sound of sleigh bells, a magical train appears outside his home, and the conductor invites him aboard. What lies ahead is an extraordinary adventure of self-discovery through which the young boy learns that for those who believe, the wonders of life never fade. This beautifully made film, based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg, will become a holiday tradition your family will enjoy for generations.

Trivia

This film listed in the 2006 Guinness Book of World Records as the first all-digital capture film.

Tom Hanks does the voice work for six roles in the film: Hero Boy, Hero Boy’s father, the conductor, the hobo, Scrooge and Santa Claus.

Lonely Boy is the only child character in the movie with an actual name (Billy).

The address (11344 Edbrooke) mentioned by the conductor early in the film is the real address for director Robert Zemeckis’ childhood home.

The Polar Express was the first feature-length film to be released simultaneously in 35mm and IMAX 3D formats.
