Texas Renaissance Festival

Charlies Birthday is in December, so I have been looking for things for us to do during the Holidays. As I was going through emails, I came upon one from US Family Guide. This time they are working with Texas Renaissance Festival. I am sharing this information with you in exchange for tickets to take my family.

I looked through the Theme Weekends, Pirate Adventure, Oktoberfest or All Hallows Eve and also Celtic Christmas. Now, I thought about sharing this with Charlie and letting him chose which day we would attend. But I wanted to surprise Charlie.

After talking to David, we decided we would like to attend Pirate Adventure, as I know this is something both Charlie and David would enjoy a lot. I wish my brother were here as the weekend we would be attending is the weekend of his Birthday.

We could have taken bring him with us although my Birthday is November 4th and they are also hosting the show on my Birthday as well. Now, I am not going to tell you which event they are producing as I would like for you to check the website out and come back and let me know which weekend it is and what there hosting that weekend.

Texas Renascence Festival is the nation’s largest and most acclaimed Renaissance themed event. The event established in 1974; the event attracts over half a million visitors each year to its 55-acre New Market Village and Fields of New Market Campgrounds in Todd Mission, Texas.

All Hallows’ Eve (October 28 & 29)
Barbarian Invasion (November 4 & 5)
Heroes and Villains (November 11 & 12)
Highland Fling (November 18 & 19)
Celtic Christmas (November 24, 25, & 26)

Texas Renaissance Festival! Kids 12 and Under Admitted Free Every Sunday!

I hate to admit it as I had wanted to attend this event not only for the joy of watching the show but use what we learned to teach Charlie in his homeschooling class. Although it wasn’t God’s will for us to attend the event at this time, it doesn’t mean we will not participate in the Future if it is Gods will. As we are still homeschooling Charlie and it is my dream to attend this event. As well as David and Charlie’s desire as well.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
