Life can be so funny at times especially when it comes to TV’s and what shows to watch. When Suzzane was growing up I never wanted or could afford to pay for cable. Even when my Ex-husband and I got married we didn’t use Cable. We had one TV in the living room we watched as a family. Suzzie had a tv in her room I got from Best Buy off Black Friday one year for her and her step sister and step brothers to share.
Then Suzzie was gone and someone I know stole her tv she purchased for herself. When David and I got together we had my tv my Ex and I had in the living room and it was the only tv in our home. Then Charlie got old enough to play video games with David so we got a TV from David’s mom for Charlie to use.
Fast forward and were in the Townhome and have one TV in the Living Room that belongs to David I bought him for Christmas years ago. Charlie has my dad’s tv in his room for gaming and my Roku TV to listen to music on or watch YouTube on. David still doesn’t have a tv of his own so he misses out on most of the shows he wants to watch. I’ve thinking of getting David a TV for Father’s Day for his bedroom which yes, it’s our bedroom but I stay downstairs because David goes to bed very early and gets up at the crack of Dawn. With me watching tv all night I would end up waking David up.
What drives me batty about the TV is we have free TV and Roku but I still have to pay for channels to watch the shows I want to see and it gets expensive when all the shows are on different channels. At any given time we end up with Parmount+, Amazon, Roku, Hallmark, Disney, Netflix and Peacock. Isn’t that crazy?
I’ve come to the conclusion I’m going to find out when shows premier and end each Season and when I have several shows on one channel I will pay for that channel for a month and watch those shows. When I finish that channel I will move on to the next channel instead of paying for 3 or 4 channels a month. Unless you have a suggestion on how to watch all the shows I want without paying for multiple chanels.
CBS is one channel that is full of shows I want to watch this year including:
Kathy Bates-helmed Matlock
Isn’t like the Hot Dog Loving Matlock we grew up with. It’s a show about a Lawyer but at times its almost a Mystery. The cast is amazing and the storyline is one you will not want to miss ever. At first I wasn’t sure I would like Matlock but I love it and even though David was the one who wanted to watch it I’m hooked on it.
Boston Blu– starring Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green, will begin airing on Fridays in the Fall.
I don’t know about you but I cried like a baby when Blue Bood ended but I’m glad there back with fresh (blue) blood in the new show Boston Blue, starring Donnie Wahlberg and former Starfleet Captain Sonequa Martin-Green. I don’t know about you but I’m counting down the days until it starts.
Blue Bloods is dead and if your like me your upset and sad and believe we should be shouting from the rooftops Long live Blue Bloods. Blue Bloods popular procedural ended its 14-season run in 2024, but CBS wasted no time in spinning it off
Wahlberg will portray NYPD officer Danny Reagan, a role he originated in Blue Bloods and played through all 14 of its seasons. Reagan will find himself in new territory when he relocates from New York to Boston and swaps his NYPD badge for a shiny new Boston PD one. There, he’ll be paired with detective Lena Silvers (Martin-Green) and, well, likely start solving crimes. It’s a procedural, after all. As for the rest of the Reagan clan making an appearance? never say never… :
‘Tracker’- Sundays at 8:00 PM
Tracker is one of my favorite shows ever and I love the cast of the show. I also love the Air Stream he lives in. If you like Mysteries and good looking men you will love Tracker as much as I do. David and Charlie also like this show.
Tracker is based on the novel The Never Game and starring Justin Hartley, Tracker follows the life of survivalist and (you guessed it) tracker Colter Shaw as he assists local law enforcement in tracking down missing persons.
‘Elsbeth’- Thursdays at 10PM
Elisbeth is New York’s quirkiest lawyer who we first say in the show The Good Fight, a spin-off of The Good Wife. Before you asked I watched both those shows and loved them. If you haven’t seen them you should check those Shows out.
Carrie Preston stars in Elisbeth as attorney Elsbeth Tascioni in its third season, features a star-studded lineup of guest stars and one of the most colorful wardrobes on television. Don’t forget all the Tote Bags she carries.
Fridays at 8:00 PM Sheriff Country
Sheriff Country, is part of Fire Country making this the first spin-off of the-Country universe.
Sheriff Country takes a different tone from Fire Country. The show stars Sheriff Country will see Morena Baccarin portray Sheriff Mickey Fox, a “straight shooter” based out of the small town of Edgewater. She has no shortage of issues to deal with, from her ex-con father (W. Earl Brown) with a penchant for growing Marijuana, to her estranged daughter, who will apparently find herself embroiled in some kind of mystery. Fox sure has her work cut out for her.
Sadly, The Rookie will not return until the Spring 2026 TV Season
Shows I may check out are ‘Shifting Gears’ Season 2 Wednesdays at 8:00 P.M. EST
I don’t know about you but I’m going to need a score card for all the shows I watch because this didn’t include Heartland, Lincoln Lawyer, Magnolia Sisters, Happy’s Place, Hudson & Rex and so much more on Hallmark.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
