School may be out for the Summer. I know some parents #Homeschool year-round. Or they may be getting ready for next year. I would like to share a new children’s book A Tuttle Twins Series of Stories America’s History 1215-1776 by Connor Boyack and Elijah Stanfield with you. Inside this post is my affiliate links. I sat down this morning to look through A Tuttle Twins Series of Stories America’s History 1215-1776 when Charlie and David walked up. They let me know they liked the Ships on the cover of the book which reminded them of the Mayflower.
The Tuttle Twins faces looked like they were surprised but excited to see the Ships. If Charlie had still been #Homeschooling we would have used this book in our #History Class. You can even create a Time Line using the book for your children to learn from.
I like how the Author has taken the time to explain why we need another “History Book”. The Author let us know #History Books” she had purchased in the past had failed in two ways “1. None of the books talked about the ideals that lead to “America’s founding’. “2: They didn’t teach why children should care about “History”. Which I’ve seen first hand when teaching Charlie and his friends.
There is 11 chapters in the book which can be read all at once or one or two chapters a day so you have time to discuss what you read with your children. The illustrations in the book enhanced our reading experiance.’
What might surprise you is the Author used things from the past like “A New World of Trade” with up to date games like “Marco Polo.” I wish Charlie and I could do but our #Swmimming Pool is closed so this would take us on a #FieldTrip.
I like how the Author includes information “Marco Polo” Charlie can share with his friends. Charlie’s favorite chpater was “The Dawn of Human Rights” and David liked “Liberty NFor All. I hope you take the time to read A Tuttle Twins Series of Stories America’s History 1215-1776 even if your not #Homeschooling your children.
A Tuttle Twins Series of Stories America’s History 1215-1776 by Connor Boyack and Elijah Stanfield should be in every school library and Middle School History Class. Copies should be given to anyone interested in #History including adults who will learn so much through the information the Author has shared with us.
About the Book:
Our 240-page book on American history is unlike any other. Where other textbooks for kids focus on what happened, we focus on why it all happened. Where other books ignore the ideas behind the Revolution, our book is full of them.
Join Ethan and Emily through a series of stories that share the inspiring events and powerful ideas behind the founding of America. This is an essential book for every freedom-loving family who wants their children to learn about America’s past so we can create a better future together.
History is more than just dates and names and battles―it’s about ideas and power and philosophy. America’s history is no different. It’s a tale of trade, exploration, adventure, and tension between groups of people with different perspectives and priorities.
The problems and challenges we face today are quite different from what America’s founders lived through―but their experiences offer us a treasure trove of inspiration and knowledge that we can learn from and apply to our own circumstances.
Why did the colonists embrace independence? What had to take place for the public to be ready for a revolution? How do trade and tariffs play into the tensions that provoked political problems between nations? These questions and many more are answered in this set of stories. In them, we can learn the lessons that will help us to stop repeating mistakes from our past.
