Welcome to August 1st I can’t wait to see where this month takes us. Before I get to busy in the house this morning I wanted to share #FoodHolidays with you this morning. I found out there is lots of reasons to celebrate food today.
August 1 National Raspberry Cream Pie Day #RaspberryCreamPieDay which my family will pass on because none of us like #Raspberries. Do you? I could get David’s dad a Pie this evening and he could celebrate National Raspberry Cream Pie Day for us. Or would you like a Raspberry Pie?
August 1 is also Braham Pie Day #BrahamPieDay. I must admit Braham Pie Day was a teaching moment for my family. Charlie and I had to look up what a Braham Pie Day is.
“Braham Pie Day is a cherished annual event in Braham, Minnesota, celebrated on the first Friday of August. This tradition, which began in 1990, honors the town’s claim as the “Homemade Pie Capital of Minnesota.”
Looks like we need to celebrate “All Things” Pie” today would you want to join my family? I can purchase a Apple Pie for us and no, I can’t make it because my stove still isn’t working. Or I can make a Graham Cracker Crust Chocolate Pie with Cool Whip which we will need to hide or David will eat all of this Pie by himself even though he knows its my favorite Pie of all time.
August 1st is also International Beer Day #BeerDay and anything with the word “BEER” in it you know David is going to embrace and celebrate. I was thinking being Friday Charlie, David and Gerald could go to the American Legion this evening to play Pool.
I will buy David a Beer or two. Before you ask no, I’m not going I’m going to stay home and either watch a movie which your welcome to join me for or read my book. It’s okay if your busy because I have the Dogs to keep me company.
