Barking at the Moon Kindle Edition

I would like to introduce you to a new book Barking at the Moon published by Tracy Beckerman. I was blessed when they sent me a copy of the book in exchange for this review.

Barking at the Moon Kindle Edition

Featuring a dog in the book I knew Barking at the Moon would be a perfect book to share with Charlie. Not, only that I thought when Charlie began reading the book he might find things to share with David making David more willing to try and read the book.

I know you want to know if that is what happened and yes, and no. Charlie loved the book and learning what the dog did and David wanted to know more.

But it was taking Charlie so long to read the book that they decided I should read two chapters in the morning before we started school to them. Which to me was a GOD send as we would be spending time together as a family.

I was fueling not only my love of reading but getting David and Charlie excited about reading. Charlie even decided he wanted to study Dogs in Homeschool which lead us to Volunteering at our local Dog Shelter allowing us to spend time as a family without Electronics.

With me wanting to get a new puppy Barking at the Moon showed us some of the things we might go through and helped us know what we would need to work on before bringing a puppy into our Home.

If there is one thing you read in the book its the section where the dog wears boxer shorts by the time we finished the chapter Charlie was rolling on the floor and wanted to try underwear on our dogs. Only there all girls and I didn’t think that would work and not only that they don’t have the problems Riley has.

Barking at the Moon by [Tracy Beckerman]

How do you housebreak a dog in a hurricane?

When Riley comes into her family’s life, award-winning humor columnist Tracy Beckerman realizes she got a lot more than she bargained for. From tracking wet cement through the house to shredding the family’s underwear, Riley is a one-dog wrecking ball. Yet this lovable retriever also brings joy, laughter, and a renewed sense of wonder into the household.

At times hilarious and heartwarming, Barking at the Moon speaks to life’s growing pains, and to mothering children both human and furry. With Beckerman’s trademark wit and heart, she reminds us that no matter what stage of life we’re in, we can learn a lot from the dogs who teach us how to stop and enjoy the ride.
