My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish Any Fin Is Possible

Good morning, I thought I would share the book Charlie has chosen for reading class this morning. He has gone back to one of his favorite books My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish Any Fin Is Possible written by Mo O’Hara. We have read these books over and over but each time Charlie reads them he is getting better and struggling less. Plus he reads more pages in the allotted timeframe we designate for reading.

I have a question for you this morning have your children read these books and if so do they have a favorite and why? I asked Charlie this question and he says he doesn’t have a favorite so far because each of them is different and he learns something new from each book. So this morning I will be looking for the lesson we can use while we read this book. If you know where I might find some Please leave me a comment and I will check out those resources this afternoon.

In the meantime, if things work out the way I am Praying they will we will be visiting the Zoo or Aquarium this week for our first field trip to check out the fish we read about in this book. If you have lesson plans on Fish, water, or the Zoo would you leave me a comment please as this is our First Field trip and I want to make sure I cover everything I need to?

SYNOPSIS

Frankie was a completely normal pet goldfish . . . until Tom’s evil-scientist big brother, Mark, tried to murder him with toxic gunge! Luckily Tom and his best friend Pradeep shocked Frankie back to life with a battery, and he’s been their zombified fishy friend ever since.

When Pradeep and Tom take Frankie for a sleepover at the museum, history really does come to life as their evil big brothers try to reanimate the cursed Cat of Kings mummy. Dodging death-defying booby traps, can our fishy friend avoid becoming a mummified kitty snack?

In story two, there’s something fishy going on at sports day. All the athletic kids seem to be losing their sporting abilities, while Tom’s evil big brother Mark has suddenly become amazing at every single sport. Can Frankie help Pradeep and Tom to foil Mark’s evil plans? Or will Mark and his pet vampire kitten, Fang, take home the gold?

Biography

Originally from America, Mo moved to London because she wanted to live abroad but spoke no foreign languages. After a brief and unsuccessful stint as a serving wench at the Tower of London Mo found work as an actress and comedy performer. It was when she toured the UK as a storyteller that she started writing for kids. Mo and her big brother once brought back their goldfish from the brink of death!
