  Klyde Warren Park’s

For those who have yet to see it, Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park is now home to a majestic new fountain made up of three 15-foot-stainless-steel treelike sculptures that can shoot water up to 100 feet into the air. Opened in September it is dubbed the world’s tallest interactive water fountain and features a 5,000-square-foot splash pad that can accommodate hundreds of children at a time.

The fountain’s design was inspired by the surrounding beloved green space, “with three 15-foot stainless-steel “Trees,” 14 “Rosebud” bubblers, and 106 small nozzles that create giant “Leaves” when they are working in unison” according to the Klyde Warren Park website=

Named after longtime board member Nancy Best, who along with her husband Randy donated $10 million to fund the fountain, the new fountain has now begun offering visitors choreographed 30-45-minute shows where water dances to music and lights.

Taking place nightly at 6:45 pm and daily at midday, this month’s musical theme is “Dancing in the Dark” though every month will present a different theme and performance. Guests are encouraged to play in the Water during both the evening performances and the non-illuminated shows every day at noon.

Like all fountains in Klyde Warren Park, this too is powered by recirculated water, which goes through a continuous filtration and sanitizing process. Luckily for locals, there is more to the enchanting fountain than its ethereal appearance.

Shows will run through to Saturday, March 11 before the schedule changes slightly with an additional showing at 8:45 pm every night. The full annual schedule is as follows:

November 7 – March 11
• 12:00 PM Non-illuminated show
• 6:45 PM Illuminated show

March 12 – August 15
• 12:00 PM Non-illuminated show
• 6:45 PM Non-illuminated show
• 8:45 PM Illuminated show

August 16 – November 6

Miracle and Sippin’ Santa Pop-Pps, are coming back to Dallas

We know, we know. It’s barely November, how could we possibly dare speak about Yuletide festivities? To that we say keep your Turkey carving knives at bay; the lights are still in the attic, the ugly sweaters in the closet, and the tree still on the lot.

But with December around the corner, we can’t help but to eek out our bubbling excitement for all things festive. Here to keep tradition alive, festive holiday pop-ups Miracle and Sippin’ Santa will return to two different Dallas bars this year to celebrate the season.

Miracle at Royal 38

For the uninitiated, Miracle is an over-the-top Christmas takeover of neighborhood bars during the Yuletide season. Lit with enough lights to be seen from space, cozy hot and cold seasonal libations, and an unparalleled holiday decor enough to make the Grinch’s heart grow three times over, Miracle is a must for all with an affinity for Elf culture. This year, you can experience the Miracle of the holidays at Royal 38.

What’s on the menu

Each year, Sippin’ Santa workshops a variety of colorful holiday Cocktails with an Island twist. Featured Cocktails include the eponymous Sippin’ Santa, made with aged Demerara rum, nutmeg syrup, lemon juice, amaro, cinnamon syrup, and orange juice; the Kaloka Colada, with dark Jamaican and Gold Puerto Rican rums, pumpkin spiced coconut cream, lime juice, orange juice, and orange Curaçao; and the hotly served Brah Humbug, made with scotch, mulled wine syrup, and Drambuie.

Shots such as their Rum Rum Rudolph (pineapple, coffee liqueur, and overproof rums), as well as the shared Blitzen Bowl mixed with a sack-full of tropical liqueurs will also be available.

How to get on the nice list

Sippin’ Santa at Ropo and Logan will take place on the same dates as Miracle, from November 12 – 31. Be sure to stay tuned to our pages for further details!

 Campo Verde in Arlington

If you were to ask me I believe there is no such thing as having too many Christmas lights. What about you? I also wanted to let you know there i no, such a thing as having too much Mexican food.. Especially when you can have Christmas decorations and Mexican food together. Which is what happens at Campo Verde in Arlington. I took my family last year.

I hate to say it but the food is nothing to write home to mom about the decorations are so much fun. Although, I would say its for younger children. Although, Teens looking for a fun place for photos might like it. Charlie said he could take it or leave it but I would like to go back. Would you want to come with me?

Holiday Lights Trolley Rides

Here’s how to get around while your sleigh is in the shop.

Does anyone else think that Trolleys are a massively underrated form of transportation? Sure the Trolley is not as efficient as a bus, nor as convenient as an Uber, but it’s got charm; during Christmastime, it’s also got a ton of cheer.

If you couldn’t manage to book a ticket on the boozy Polar Express this year, you can find alternate transportation on one of the Holiday Lights Trolley Rides through Highland Park for one of the most magical rides in the City.

From November 28 to December 23, you can take a trip through Highland Park on Holiday Lights Trolley Rides. through Highland Park,” the company writes on their website. “Along the 1 hour ride, our festive Trolley’s let you enjoy magic of the holiday season.”

Passengers can purchase tickets for the joyful trolley ride for $20. Trolleys depart from Mockingbird Station, with surface and garage parking free of charge. The trolley takes you on a one-hour excursion through Highland Park, which will undoubtedly sparkle with myriad lighting displays.
