As for David I don’t know if he has or not. Would you like to join us to watch the show?

Impossible Astronaut Day is on April 23 a day when the fans of the super-hit sci-fi series “Doctor Who” celebrate the airing of season six, episode one of the show. I have a question for you. Did you know “Doctor Who” was partly inspired by “Sherlock Holmes”? The first episode of the sixth season of the series premiered on the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1963.

On April 23, 2011, the first episode of the sixth season of the series “Doctor Who” aired on television, called “The Impossible Astronaut”. Doctor Who the sci-fi series appeared for the first time on television in 1963.

Dr Who has attracted fans from different generations and it follows the adventures of the Doctor, who is a time-traveling ‘alien.’ The Doctor travels through time and space in a time machine that is also a spacecraft, called the Tardis. The Tardis looks like an inconspicuous London police box from the 1960s.

Dr Who’s episode “The Impossible Astronaut” quickly became one of the most-watched and appreciated episodes of the series. New alien monsters, called the Silence, were introduced in this episode. The characters were not able to remember that they had seen the alien monsters once they took their eyes away from them. To remind themselves that they have seen the monsters, the characters started putting tally marks on their skin.

To celebrate Impossible Astronaut Day all the Whovians draw tally marks on their skin or parts of their body. As an inside joke, the fans act normal and pretend that they are unaware of why the tally marks are there.
