Christmas Gift Guide 23: Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale

I would like to share a new children’s book which you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 23 Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale by  Judith L. Roth (Author), Jaclyn Sinquett (Illustrator) The Perfect Book for Mermaid Fans! I received a physical copy of the book in exchange for this review.

I must tell you if my daughter Suzzie was here she would have fallen in love with Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale because she loved Mermaids. How about you. Do you like Mermaids? I wish you could see the cover of the book with the Mermaid in the water and the pretty Kitten on the bow of the boat. It looks like they are talking to each other.

Isn’t her name Cadence pretty? Charlie and I enjoyed finding out the Mermaid likes to prank fishermen and we should learn Tai Chi with the lightkeeper with her. Then she finds a Kitten and decides she wants one. But Kittens don’t like water. So she needs to find a different kind of Kitten. Do you think she can find one?

Look here is a new word “mersisters” Charlie can add to his Homeschool Spelling list. They leave the Mermaid alone everyday. I have to dance with the Dolphins by myself. Then I go ding donging the fishermen. Would you like to help me? Its time for Tai Chi with the lightkeeper. Oh, no, something is missing.

Kittens!! Look at them having fun. She ask her dad for a Kitten and he says a Catfish will have to do. He say’s no she can have a Catfish. That isn’t what she wants. She tries to play with the Kitten. She catches a Kitten but where can they play together? She says underwater but first they have to get rid of the Cats claws.

To find out what happened with the kitten and her claws you need to pick up a copy of Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale. Opps the kitten thinks the Mermaids tail is Tuna. That isn’t good. She gets the Kitten a floaty but the Kitten gets wet and isn’t a happy camper because Kittens don’t like water.

Oh, no her Kitten dreams are dashed. Now what is going to happen? You must pick up a copy of Cadence and Kittenfish A Mermaid Tale to find out. The Mermaid keeps asking if there is someone out there for her. What do you think? Now, before you ask me if she finds a pet or not you will need to pick up a copy of Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale to find out.

Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale is the perfect story for small children though elementary school but Charlie is 16 and he enjoyed the story and the illustrations are so fun to look at. If your studying the Sea, or Mermaids then you need to add this book to your library as soon as possible. I will be purchasing copies for nieces for Christmas.

About:

If a kitten hates the water … can it come to love a mermaid? Find out in this story about setting goals, problem-solving, and (eventually) making friends.

Cadence is a very busy little mermaid—dancing with dolphins in the morning and practicing Tai Chi at the lighthouse in the afternoon—but something is missing. She really wants a kitten!

When she discovers a family of felines onshore, Cadence can’t believe her luck. But, as the mermaid tries to play with one of the kittens, she soon discovers that cats do not like water and are very pointy in all the wrong places. Ouch!

With her kitten dreams dashed, Cadence couldn’t be sadder. Is there a pet out there that can love her and the sea? Maybe there’s one right under her fin!

From author Judith L. Roth and artist Jaclyn Sinquett, Cadence and Kittenfish: A Mermaid Tale reminds us to follow our hearts and our fins—and be ready for some surprises!
